Players do get paid.  They get either a free education (full scholarship) or an education at a reduced amount (partial scholarship) that regular old students do not get.

According to this website //www.ua.edu/about/quickfacts, it costs, on average, $20,755 per semester to attend Alabama.  That's somewhere around $166,040 for a 4 year degree.  That comes out to players making $41,510 a year while they are at Alabama.  Really don't see how players need to be paid anymore than what they already are getting.

Not to mention the tons of free, top of the line gear that they're given, flying all over the country at no cost, eating great meals and just a first rate sports experience that most of us could only dream of... I realize there is a lot of work involved, but what a reward! Also, the networking and contacts made through big time college sports will prove invaluable later. I sure hope he can/will/continue to appreciate all of these benefits. He is one of the lucky few.

Bingo you nailed it squarely=Dayt not running the pigskin behind those big linemen the last few years, smh Styner 2015 was the last Bronco to rush over 1,000 yds since Peyton Ploch in 2009.Job #1 for Jeff is to restore interest for Dayt atheletics.Crosby has won 3 straight because Dayt has not played available talented kiddos@the Qb position(nor able to consistantly play run defense)but as bad as that part was we were still in all 3 games vs Crosby late in 4th qtr.SMH I never saw a Dayt team go for it on( 4th & 7 late 1st qtr 75 yds away from paydirt) w/the lead.Yep Hancock call in Crosby 2014.So I asked Stew @golf=All those yrs you were HC & Hancock was D/C it seems after 5 yrs of poor defense that you were doing all the coaching?response=I was(quote)

I hope Hancock reads this site. It'll be eye opening to him to see the picture you painted of how his mentor views him. Sad

Or maybe I don't hope he reads it.

From what I've read on facebook, posted by a board member, they chose not to act on the motion considering Fedora still has one more year on his contract. Instead, they acted on more pressing issues and those whose contracts were ended this year.

There is no issue except the press misleading it's readers, myself included, stating, "Board No on Fedora Extension." The board has yet to vote on an extension for Fedora. This will probably happen at the next board meeting. And, from what I have gathered, Fedora will get an extension.

There is not a hidden agenda or any upset parents. The board members are upset as well. Something so innocent on their behalf has been blown out of proportion.

ahhh. thanks for filling us in. Media... smh

Interesting.  Cant believe this post isn't getting more attention.  I make a comment about a team being bad and the board lights up like a Christmas tree.  Sabine Pass gets labeled the "one act gay mecca of effeminate dudes"...and nothing.

Note to self.  Better to call a group of kids effeminate than bad.  Got it.

Agreed. But it's likely no mods saw it yet, since very few care about H-D. That's why there is a report post link at the top of each post.

  5. Pretty fair amount of concussions, blood and broken bones in soccer. Just saying...

And no offense, but those roofers and mowers are hard workers that are putting some of my best athletes and hardest working students through college right now.  More power to them. They're living the American dream that so many refuse to take advantage of these days.

I can only relate to the knowledge of those in whom I have a connection with, Cougar. I can't speak for anyone I don't know.

I'm just starting to learn these Crosby coaches bruh. I'd coach but they don't pay enough, lol.

Just curious. Where did you learn all your spread skills? A guy with a high paying job (lots of hours?), a wife and kids would have to sacrifice a lot of their limited free time to know all that. Seriously asking.

  7. Eminem has won lots of BET awards. I'm sure there are other white winners as well. But really, who cares? All of the stars, (white, black, whatever) beefing about this have gotten extremely rich doing something that they love to do. All the while, we've got kids of all colors in America wondering where there next meal is coming from, hoping they won't be abused today, etc. Wake me up when these folks have some real problems.

Lol and he took advantage of it by graduating high school early earning a scholarship in not only football but track as well and is on pace to finish his degree in 3 years...where did he go wrong again? Cause I'm confused

He didn't go wrong. He did something dumb..., but who doesn't?  However, he does not belong in the same group that grows up feeling like they've got to steal or sell something to have decent clothes or enough to eat. Or the group that has been taught nothing at home but how to just scrape by.... does that make sense?
