JWB got a reaction from Ty Cobb in Lions vs Cowboys
Cowboys held them to 3 pts in the second half.....whats Detroit's excuse for that?

JWB reacted to Ty Cobb in Lions vs Cowboys
How about this, the COWBOYS got a break. That play did not win the game for DALLAS and it didn't turn it in their favor. The COWBOYS got a play to go their way instead of against them. I'll take 5 more if it's possible.

Stopped watching the Seahawks, couldn't stand Tate or Carroll after that circus with the replacement refs in the Packers Game.

JWB reacted to TROJANSWIN in why??
Aren't you black? Are you dead? Why hasn't a police officer shot you? Maybe because you weren't robbing a store, assaulting a police officer, pointing a gun at them. Wierd how that works isn't it? Even though you are black, you got a job, a house, and haven't been shot by the police. Maybe it isn't your color, maybe it is the things you do. Same for the morons who keep getting arrested or shot. Not their color, the things they do are the problem. -
JWB reacted to Ty Cobb in colts at COWBOYS
AT&T Stadium was very loud yesterday! The loudest that I can remember. I'm usually very critical of the fans but not yesterday. The fans stood and cheered at the right times and the COWBOYS actually had a home field advantage. It reminded me of good ole TEXAS STADIUM. Go COWBOYS!!! -
JWB reacted to CardinalBacker in Bridge City Football Applicants
I know that you can't compare apples to oranges, but it's awesome to watch WOS playing in the state championship game today. It's awesome because we've played against most of those kids for years, through STJFL as well as junior high.
BC's sophomore group actually beat WOS's group on their last year of STJFL, then 7th grade, and lost a close one at WOS in 8th grade. This year the kids from WOS were in Dallas and BC squeaked out a single district win. How do we go from being competitive to being completely outclassed in just two or three years? Hats off to WOS for having a great PROGRAM. it's a shame that BCISD isn't committed to winning on the gridiron.... I'm hoping that the new coach can turn the program around in BC. -
JWB reacted to Stattrax in Bridge City Football Applicants
Agreed.. It just takes a change in the mentality.. BC can and should be able to compete year in year out. I understadnnd the whole baseball first thing, but that talent can be on the football field as well.. The AD thing will limit you to a list like we read about... Good luck, best hope would be for a young guy that is looking to build a name for himself.. Problem is, he would probably only stay around for a short time..

JWB reacted to SETXanalyst in Finally!....With Irony.
It has been way too long since we have seen a state title come to our area, and what better way to be able to have 2 titles brought back. In my opinion, Newton and WOS are the 2 most dominant teams in SETX. You don't watch high school football in this area and not know who they are and what they are about. I'm not bragging or boasting this is just fact that no matter what size school you are or what your history is Newton and WOS bring home wins. The interesting thing is though, is that since 1980 Newton could never beat WOS, even though they played amazing matches. It had been quite sometime since they had played each other and when they did Newton finally got the W that woke up the 2 giants of the old days. I really feel like that night set off monstrous seasons that both these teams are finishing with.
For WOS, Gilmer needs to be shown that SETX does not bow down to the greatest show on turf.
For Newton, its time for you to show Waskom what tradition is about and why you have your own set of keys the state championship doors.

JWB reacted to badndn in Earl Thomas providing busses to JerryWorld
Bet we dont see this on ESPN, but if he'd a got caught making a life mistake it'd be the lead in for sports center.
Earl Thomas is a class act and a wonderful role model for the young men and women of Orange Texas. -
JWB reacted to Gasilla in WO-S vs Gilmer
Make no mistake, Gilmer will be the best team we've faced. They have a fast paced offense and we have to be ready to get to top speed defensively from the first snap. They thrive on jumping on people and taking them out of the game early. We cannot turn the ball over and we must keep them contained. We also must be wide open on offense, they are going to score so we must do the same. That being said, if we can stave off the early barrage and settle in, I believe the Mustangs will prevail. I believe we win the second half and the game. -
JWB reacted to bullets13 in colts at COWBOYS
This won't be an easy game, but I'm hoping that the Colts have a letdown after clinching the division this weekend, and honestly, the Colts have looked like crap the last couple of weeks. As for our running game, we have two decent backups in Randall and Dunbar. A large part of Murray's success this year is volume of carries and the quality of the offensive line. If either one of the backups get 20+ carries and Free and Martin come back and play, it wouldn't surprise me at all if the backup breaks 100 yards rushing. Heck, Randall averages 7 yards a carry this year. All that said, IF we can't establish a running game, and IF our O-line is injured and sucks, we still have a decent chance. Romo's been winning 8 games a year every year with no running game and a bad O-line, so we could still pull it out. -

JWB reacted to Chester86 in jack dallas wo-s qb
Very proud of Jack stepping in and doing what he has done. But knowing Jack he would defer to the line, the rb's and the wr's for the success. Humble young man and the ultimate team player. -
JWB reacted to Gasilla in jack dallas wo-s qb
Always going to be haters and folks with an agenda. I said before the season that I felt like Jack would be one of the best before it was all said and done and was laughed at. But JD don't worry about message boards and folks with an agenda. He does his job, works hard, prepares, then goes out and shows folks ON THE FIELD!! Keep it up, kid!!!
He is an integral part of the TEAM. A team full of kids who work hard. This is a team in the biggest sense of the word. No one does it alone. Everyone has a job and they ALL do a dang good job of it.

JWB reacted to td in jack dallas wo-s qb
Thanks for all of the kind words but he is but one of about 30 that it takes to get the job done. That doesn't even include the coaches. He can't do a thing without those beast that protect him. And without the incredible skill guys we have that go get it when he puts it in the air he is nothing. Along with that goes the defense that keeps the other team off of the scoreboard and the coaches that have put him in a great position to be successful. Now let's focus on Sinton and go get them. Then we can talk about the next one. Thanks for the fan support. It has meant a lot to the players to hear how loud we have been the last few weeks. Let's Go Meet Em. -
