Yeah, I guess I get caught up in the whole 17 weeks, 16 games that the NFL has. Go figure!!!

Silsbee has 3 Sr, 2 Jr, 5 Soph, 4 Fish.

I have not seen one congratulations to the Silsbee Tigers from a BC fan. If you were at this game you new how close this game was and how great a game it was. But no comments from the BC fans on how good they played or how good there pitcher pitched, WOW!!! By the way, it was a great game.

Some good game have been played in 24-4A. Looking forward for many more.

I agree Critter. OF has the experience on Silsbee, it will be a good game. Silsbee's young team is scrappy and will need this to be there best game to win. This very well could be a one or two run game. I'm going to be a homer and say Silsbee will win. Go Tigers!!!

I wonder if he parks his van "down by the river"?

From what I have read he was not arrested but was given a ticket. Haven't heard much since. Not a good situation.

Well, the sun came out for several day and the ground dried up a little. Now, the rains are back and what little bit got dried up is getting soaked again. But, the future is bright the long rang forecasts has sunshine starting Sunday for the rest of the week. Oh and one more thing, seven more days.

Fish with the dream of Varsity and Sr's with the dream of being fish again.

I think almost every Jasper 80's team was better than the teams you mentioned. They played a very similar style to both Newton and WOS, very physical and defense first. I have a healthy respect for those two programs and our best chance for long-term success is to mirror them like we used to. 
 
I'm not trying to slight those early 2000's teams at all, especially the 2004 team, but those teams weren't built the same way and I don't think the style they played is sustainable. Coach Barbay seems to be working towards a more physical brand of football and he has a lot of kids coming back, so 2015 could be even better than last year. 

The difference was the play of the o-line, And them finally committing to the run in general. i would rather replace him with a capable back who might not be quite as good, but will still perform pretty well behind the O-line than try to replace matchup nightmare Dez and his 16 TD catches. And that's not even factoring in the success of the other WRs who benefited from single coverage or holes in zones because opponents had to concentrate so hard on slowing him down. Factor in all of the fumbles by Murray, along with how interchangeable backs have started to become in the NFL, and dez is a no-brainer.

I'm so sick of hearing about Rodgers little calf hurting. Romo play with having two back surgeries in less than two years, a broken up back after the first deadskins game and broken/cracked ribs. So, what QB was more hindered.

Here's the deal, in 2007 Romo had a monster year could have won the MVP that year but a guy named P. Manning had a better year. He had a good O-line, good RBs, great WRs, and a good defense. Since then the O-line has been shaky, RB has not been constant, WR been in and out, defense has been going down every year. So, Dallas leaned on Romo to carry the team. You can only throw so many times in a game before the other team catches on and bad things happen. This year Romo finally almost has a team like Rodgers, Wilson, Brady. A good O-line, a constant RB, WRs that have stayed around and constant, and a defense that played above expectations. Romos ability and talent have always been there. Now he has the tools around him like these other QBs.   

I thought it was a catch.
 
But reading the rule, by letter of the rule it was not a catch.

It only takes a Super Bowl win for fans and the media. For the people inside the game, players and coaches, Romo is one of the best.

Quarterback=Equal; Romo's numbers are astronomical this year, but Rodgers at home is unbeatable so far.
Running back= Cowboys; Murray and Lacy are at the top of their game this year, but the backups for Dallas is a added strength.
Wide Receiver/Tight Ends=Equal; These guys on both teams have great hands and what they do after the catch is just as good.
O-Line=Cowboys; Three pro bowlers and a all pro. Nuf said. Just think if Free can make it back for the game.
D-Line=Cowboys; The starting line is one thing but the rotation and backups favor Dallas
Linebackers=Equal; Run stoppers and coverage Get ready for some hard hitting from these two groups.
Secondary=Packers; It's more of Dallas's weakness than Green Bays strength.
Special Teams=Cowboys; Kicking, punting, and return players slightly favor Dallas.
Weather=Packers; As cold as it has been in Dallas this week it will be 15 to 20 degree colder in Green Bay. BIG advantage!!!

The Henderson QB is big and athletic with good RB and WR. The one thing that impressed me the most about their offense is that offensive line. Big boys that attack and wont stop, look like bulldozers moving opponents defense around. IMO, that's what makes them so good.

OMG!!!! The ref thats threw the flag got it wrong then the refs got together and made the right call. At first I thought it was PI, then I seen the play from other angles, like the other refs, and thought maybe not. If anything there was more facemask on that play by the TE. Why isn't anybody arguing about that?

Looked at a weather report for next weekend in Green Bay. Sunny and not as cold, Highs in the low twenties. Think goodness the game is being played in the hot part of the day. lol
