1. Head scratcher. Gotta make sure you got the right play call
2. Any update on the parking situation at Stallworth? I know there was construction last year. Just wondering if that's all finished.
3. It's ok to not shake a competitor's hand if their bus driver is slow. I mean, that's what it sounds like you are saying.
4. Go look at your statement on page 2: "Hines making them look like kids." Sounds like smack to me. Guess you have a comprehension problem. No worries. Oh, and your sentence in which you say "Can you!", is actually a question, not an exclamation.
5. Scroll back to the 1st few pages when PAM was up 30-14 and see who was talking smack. Then scroll forward a few pages and see who was whining about the refs and such. Pot calling kettle black much??
6. Look, I've never written for a paper or anything, but I've spent a fair amount of my adult life performing research, conducting interviews, and drafting documents related to those two items. If it were me, I'd start with the broad picture. Pick out 3 or 4 school from 5A, 4A, and 3A in the area and try and get the HC or AD on the phone to talk about the athletic programs in general. I'd inquire about participation in each sport, up's, down's, remaining constant, whatever the case may be. I'd then compare it to what we are seeing on a national level. Why are we seeing a different trend then what is seen nationally? I imagine that once the season starts and rosters come out, you will be able to see if there were any underclassmen from last year that aren't on rosters this year. Maybe you could figure out a way to contact those individuals. Of course, kids that play at the varsity level tend to stick with it through high school, but you might get lucky. As mentioned by others on the board, my guess is that a lot of the kids that give up football are steered in a different direction at the freshmen/sophomore level by being one-sport athletes (at least for SETX). But maybe you'll find those kids that moved on to other things and if so, run the article during the season while everyone is focused on football. Of course, such an article run during the season might draw the ire of folks on this board (depending on the slant), but hey, it starts a conversation right?
7. Good luck Titans. Represent 22-5A!!!
8. Good luck to the Lions! I've been to quite a few Lions games over the years. My wife is a proud graduate of HHS. Good thing the game is on a Friday that way the town can get out and enjoy the Syrup Festival on Saturday!
9. How can it hurt them? Picking up 2 wins in a row can only help build confidence moving forward. Good luck dogs this week. Stay healthy out there!
10. Easy solution. BISD can just forfeit every away game scheduled in PN-G. Oh, we should petition the UIL to keep that brass section mute during the run of play as well.
11. Wow, big win for the Lady NDNs. Porter was 17-2 with 12 shutouts. Also, Lady Dogs won 4-0.

14.
If he's going to play fbs football then he will go juco first. In this day an age of recruiting if you dnt have and offer from a FBS. School you probably wont get one, most teams are full. Im suprised Mcneese Lamar and SFA haven't offered
Agreed.  The Cardinals are in desperate need of a player like Mitchell.  He is an all around playmaker and can make a positive impact in year 1 or 2.
