  1. BH will take care of GCM and Dayton will send Crosby back down HWY 90 to the MCDonalds for a Happy Meal, cause they won't be happy when they leave Dayton....and the rest will be sorted out on Oct. 16......between the two best teams this year in the district BH and Dayton....
  2. Lol..Who overlooked Crosby... We take em one week at time at BH......Your turns comin Cougar, but I'd say you got bigger things to worry about this week......Ain't gonna be pretty for the coogs.....
  3. Mr. Purple4ever,,,,,,The reality is this.. Both BH and Dayton have played 3 district games, now their both 3-0...None of those games were exactly against the strongest district teams.. BH has played what I think most would consider 2 of the better teams in 20-4a..Lumberton and PNG the result (2) losses....Dayton has played (1) top notch non district opponent, Friendswood the result..(1) loss...While both teams have looked pretty good and BH has shown steady improvement from last year, neither team has anything to crow about just yet...So my advice is for BH to concentrate on GCM and Dayton on Crosby.. and we'll see ya in 2 weeks....by then things will be pretty well sorted out.....
  4. Hillguy's stats speak volumes....Viverette obviousy had another good game with 60 percent completion rate and almost 300 yds thru the air.....but KP is not exactly the OU Sooners on the ground or at least they shouldn't be......a 5.28 rushing average......not bad for team not known for a rushing offense..#40 back on Defense and #42 healthy and I'll bet that rushing number drops considerably.....now a good team like Dayton that would be expected.....BH punted "one " time.....but anyway congrats to the team and coaches...GOOD JOB......By the way, gotta give kudo's to Coach Brown.. His receiving corp is obviously well coached......
  5. 40 will be fine then.....he's a tuff one, and 74, he'll be fine next week.. hope 42 gets a good report ,,, need him......We need em all.........
  6. IMO , plain and simple, the kids took this team for granted..Thought this would be just another win.. can't do that with anybody, BH has to take each team a week at a time or we'll get beat....I agree,I like Hopper on defense.. There are two or three kids with good speed and hands that aren't being used that could fill the other receiver spot.. Crosby is playing better ball and Dayton, well nuff said, its their crown until somebody takes it and they appear to finding their offensive consistency..I also understand we got another kid hurt, whats the story there? Hope its not to severe......
  7. 4x4OFFROAD, We'll try and get back to football ,since thats the forum, but how would you be so privy to BH SAT scores? and the averages you quote of 1027 to 991, huh??? anybody whos ever taken an SAT knows the scores are given in even increments of 10, example 1100- 1200 etc.. It would be imposssible to have those types of averages.....
  8. Dayton @ Houston North Forest LCM @ Central Livingston @ Ozen Vidor @ Lumberton Nederland @ PNG Silsbee @ Jasper WOS @ Brookshire Royal Cleveland @ Liberty Hardin @ Anahuac Buna @ Kountze Deweyville @ EC Colmesneil @ West Hardin Evadale @ Hull Daisetta Diboll @ Nach Barbers Hill @ Kingwood Park Coldspring @ Shepard Goose Creek Mem @ Crosby Galena Park YJ @ Houston CE King Splendora @ Huffman Burkeville @ High Island
  9. Thanks Coop, they've worked hard and its showing.. Hope it continues....
  10. My son plays for Barbers Hill and played against these guys.. he'll be the first to tell you PNG is the real deal....They play hard and hit hard....and have very classy group of players and the fans were super nice...but he would like another crack at them in the playoffs if that happens....lol
  11. Although it hurts almost as much as paying my end of the year property taxes, gotta agree with Ranger on this one.....GCM by a touchdown...Your a sick puppy Ranger....lol
  12. Dayton, no he didn't run the ball, wish he could have,,,,and hey I'm not all putting down Franks, he's a heck of an athlete.....just pointing out Storks accomplishments, and yeah ,yards per catch is huge...he was averaging 15....but some of those catches he was standing in the endzone ,, can't run any farther than that,,,,,,and yeah hate to see his season over...
  13. Ranger83, The point of the hoopla or fuss is, he's percieved to be an "impact player", a game changer, which he's obviously a good athlete..If he was 2nd teamer this conversation wouldn't be taking place.. and by the way Caleb Stork transfered fro the BH Kindegarten Center, into the BH Primary, then the BH elementary, then BH Middle school and then BH High........like most of the kids there....BH from start to finish.........
  14. With all the hype, and hoopla, and fuss over Xavier Franks, the kid from BH, Caleb Stork, had more receptions, yardage and TD's when he ended his season 3 1/2 games into it with broken collar bone than Franks does.. Maybe the wrong kid was getting all the press in 19-4a.....and he's also in the top 10% of his class.. No academic problems there....Way to go Caleb.... 19 receptions for 292 yards and 5 TD's....
  15. Bottom line, he's there, but the academic transfer just sounds kinda like a stretch.. and yes according to the Dayton paper a couple months back, Dayton was shown to be academically "unacepatable"....just repeating what was in the paper.....
  16. I keep hearinh Franks transferred to Dayon for academic reasons.....Don't you still haveto attend class and make the grade there. Are we missing something here?
  17. Gonna be good one this year between BH and Dayton....Last years teams are gone.....on both sides of the ball.....
  18. Dayton 64 North Forest 7 Their gonna see if they can match the UT, UTEP score....
  19. Ok, BH34, were buds again......lol... Hey even Mack brown pulled Colt out yestersday, and he knows a thing or two about football......Of course that one got real ugly.....
  20. You've actually got to feel sorry for the North Forest kids..Their entire program is in shambles....Dayton could beat them 100-0, if thats what they wanted..This will be good one to play the younger players, show some class, and take a knee to end the misery.....
  21. BH34, Believe me , theres no coach bashing here, as matter of fact I'm one of the few that typically takes up for these guys that put in countless hours with these kids( go back and look at my post),but you mentioned all they did was"take a knee", well your second string quarterback can take a knee as good as the starter, and actually their were some plays ran.Besides its nice to let some of the guys that don't get much playing time, to get in the game and let them feel like their making a contribution...Hey "they all" went thru-two-adays...and I still say with tha kind of lead, you take your starters out earlier to protect from injury, and to show some class......I stand by that and thats not coach bashing, just my opinion....
  22. steelcurtain, Excellent point... #14 did an "awesome" job.. He probably had 4-5 tackles 5 mins into the gAME .. and "all the kids" 40 plus are making contributions.. Football is a team game and everbody steps up and makes contributions......Individual stats should rarely be mentioned.....#14 played a great game as fdi the entire defense...And the offensive line has been opening holes all year long......Better play the reserves when possible, gonna need them down the road...The injury bug "can" bite at any time.....
  23. This game was pretty much what I expected only they got taken to the wood shed and popped few extra times for trash talkin, (ala Ranger 83), but he was just "funin"....The Dayton , BH game will be "the game"....and it looks like Dayton is hitting on all cylinders and the BH Quarterback has matured really quick...That kid is the real deal........Both teams have excellent QB's.....
  24. Yeah great win and great job by the kids.. I said from the first day this group is different and their gonna get BH back in the playoffs.. Take em one game at a time guys, and stay foccused...My only question or concern would be, why have your starting QB and your top 2 receivers still in on offense on the last drive, 2 minutes to go in the game...Ala "Chris Daniels".....Wake up.........
  25. Imo Dayton will limit GCM back Allen to limited yardage..Daytons rush defense will be tough..If Daytons corners can contain the "long" routes, could be a long night for GCM...
