The left believes that trickle down economics ( from the private sector) doesn't work, but is very confident that trickle down economics (from the government) works.

Every debate for the last 30 years has lost control...I have no problem with it...let the candidates set the pace, not some knucklehead moderator.

I agree, let the candidates hash it out. I though Holt did a good job of letting them spar. I don't think either one should have been on that stage, so I have no problem with them acting "unpresidential". I wish they would have starting brawling right there on the debate floor...would have been more entertaining. In full disclosure, I had the debate on my TV, but was doing some work on my computer. The debate was more of just background noise for me.
I don't think this debate will change any minds. Trump haters will still hate and Hillary haters will still hate. Of course, I can't imagine anyone can still be undecided at this point, so I have no clue as to what is going through their minds.
I hope the background checkers don't conveniently leave out Hillary's biggest lie tonight, the Gender Pay Gap. I know for a fact (read the studies myself firsthand and my girlfriend at the time wrote a paper on it) that when you compare job vs job (same jobs) with years of experience, no gender pay gap exists. This has be known at least all the way back to the 1990s when I read the studies.

Always amazes me how this late in the game there are always so many folks that are waiting to make up their minds based on the debates...that normally tell you nothing.

I had to shop in the Husky section growing up.  My mom told me it wasn't because I was fat, that I just had short legs. 

I was reading through this thread and was going to post this.  I don't like that adults are protesting through the national anthem, but I certainly respect their right to do so, even as I lose respect for them as they do it.  While I respect adults' rights to protest, and to do whatever they want during the national anthem, I have a major problem with adults using children as pawns in their own personal protests.  

It is disrespectful and unexceptable...Period!

Sadly, those being " motivated" do not grasp that fact that they are being manipulated.

If the SAME legislation was titled Cruz-Lee, BG would be all about repealing it.

There is legislation now to repeal Dodd Frank.  Obama will veto it, but at least they are doing something I guess.  Hopefully they cut the CFPB while they are at it.    

I agree.  That's why they need to limit the things you can buy on food stamps.  Junk food, luxury foods, soda, etc shouldn't be allowed.  If you want steak & lobster go work for it and pay for it yourself.  Food stamps shouldn't be a reward, there should be some incentive to want to do better and provide for yourself.  Eating Spam and Ramen everyday might just do that.  

Doubtful...My question is why are the protests being directed at the police?
What should be protested is the leadership in these cities that creates an environment where there are thousands of interactions with police and if one situation goes bad (and even if it doesn't) the police are the ones that are blamed.
Why not hold the city leaders accountable (such as Chicago) for the miserable conditions they are allowing their inner cities to remain in?
Rather than kneeling during the Nation Anthem, maybe they would be more effective protesting on City Hall steps in cities like Chicago and Detroit.

Not standing, not putting your hand over your heart, and not removing your hat are all signs of disrespect! That's what people fail to realize. You will never earn respect by being disrespectful! NEVER!

Is it also their first ammendment right to skip practices and then expect to play?
You have the right to do what you want, but your actions are not free from consequences.
 

Kids need to be guided by us Adults. They see an NFL player doing it so they follow. 

After reading that letter, I had to respond.  My old brain started spinning on what to say, because after that letter, it needed to be appropriate.  You nailed it LumRaiderFan, with that one word - Powerful.

Come on man, don't be so "diplorable". 

There are a lot of good reasons for not coaching, but there is one reason to coach at least for me its the most important reason.....To give young men a male role model and make a positive difference for which they need/want, because other wise they wouldn't get it.

My advice, wish him well and move on.  If his father does not want to discuss the particulars of what happened, we shouldn't speculate or imply anything.  If that continues the thread will be locked.

Yep...the fed gov will be deemed the only fix for the mess the fed gov made...and all the sheep will stand and cheer.
