I guess my point is getting into politics should not make one rich. Trump was already wealthy. Vast majority of other politicians were not until they got into politics.

Gotta disagree. As President Trump has the power to move markets. His sons are reaping benefits from weapon/drone sales. He pushes favorable regulatory oversight of Cryptocurrency, enriching himself in the process. He made $1.4B in crypto while the retail investors (the little guy) lost about the same. No bid contracts for his cronies for hundred of millions of federal contracts. UAE underwrote his crypto company with $1B investment. Paying for parties and celebrations honoring him, not America with our money after promising donors would pay. The man is a walking corruption machine. Congressional members are amateurs compared to him. Not the kind of person we need leading us.

Trump making 2 billion doesn't alarm me. Like baddog stated, he was a billionaire before taking office. What alarms me is politicians being worth 200 to 400 thousand going into office and coming out worth 75 to 100 million+. Like the case up in Minnesota. Went in office at 90,000 and 4 years later has 100 million. That's what should alarm folks.

So @89Falcon is now on staff at San Augustine. Losing the fullback/DL player will hurt Shepherd a bit but I still think they make playoffs.

I’m gonna keep posting these clips because they make me realize how we, as Americans, take things for granted. We don’t appreciate how good we have it. Even with inflation and high gas prices, Europeans are so impressed with A/C everywhere, variety in our grocery stores, the size of our retail outlets, portions served in restaurants, and our hospitality. To put it in a nutshell….Americans are spoiled.

I only had a couple of conversations with this man but it didn't take me long to figure out I was speaking to a fine man. One thing was obvious, he was an LCM Battlin Bear through and through. He also had great love for all high school sports. Southeast Texas sport scene will miss this man and certainly will the LCM community. RIP Mr. Mota aka Mr. Bear.

Graduated one all-state player but still return one. Will look different not as many dunks but I do believe still one of the better teams in the region. Top 3A region 3 teams I would expect to be: east chambers (stud guard and coach), onalaska (still press and shoot lots of 3s), Westwood (returns all but one), Central Heights, Trinity (they should take another huge leap and my favorite for d1), Orangefield (great coach and return some good pieces). Warren, Huntington, PCA, Diboll all going to be solid too. I do think Diboll has a chance to be real good. Lorena and Tarkington will be really good too after dropping down from 4A.

I’m relieved to see gas prices coming down but still not happy. To blame TDS for those still not happy is ridiculous. I’m afraid prices will jump back up once the deal officially falls apart.

Interesting piece of trivia: SCOTUS Judge Barrett has 2 adopted children from Haiti that are considered U.S. citizens under current law. If citizenship requirements were different, they would have to become naturalized citizens, and wouldn’t automatically become ‘direct’ U.S. citizens by adoption. If you follow through with this scenario, you could actually have a child of illegal immigrants be born in the U.S., automatically be a U.S. citizen, become of age, adopt children from another country that were under 16 years old, and all of them would be considered U.S. citizens the same as anyone born here by native, legal U.S. parents whose family tree had been born here and lived in America for generations. But, none of them would have been born by U.S. citizen parents. File that in the crazy but true files.
