Trump Invokes D.C. Home Rule Act!
bullets13 and one other reacted to thetragichippy for a topic
The numbers are the numbers......Unless you're trying to dispute the numbers on practically every crime page I've gone to Beaumont and live in Port Arthur.....I've never been assaulted or obviously killed...but that does not mean the violent crime rate in Beaumont is not 278% above the national average in violent crime.2 points -

Two billionaire brats. Shocking!! I don’t care about personalities, I am not looking for legal scholars and if I want religion I will seek out fellowship at a church. I care about the economy, right to bear arms, heavily regulated immigration laws, etc.2 points -

I sold my house right before the rates went up to the current level and moved into my childhood home. The plan was to build, but now thinking I may buy and existing home that needs to be remolded. I'm in no hurry because my current home is paid for. The problem is not a lot of houses on the market because people don't want to sell their homes and give up that 3% interest rate to jump on a 7% rate on a larger home. When the rates get to 5%, the market will be flooded with houses folks been wanting to sell for 5 years but was holding off for rate. That should force down home prices too.1 point -
Official shortage creating more Thursday games
RETIREDFAN1 reacted to AggiesAreWe for a topic
It's my understanding that this year the official shortage will really be noticeable in the fact that several games will be played on Thursday nights this year instead of Friday. A few even on Saturdays. For example, Hardin is playing half their games (5) on Thursday nights this year. We are aware of this situation and will do our best in making those changes to the schedules when they are posted.1 point -
Official shortage creating more Thursday games
kirkwood29 reacted to AggiesAreWe for a topic
Larger schools have been doing it for years like you stated because of sharing stadiums. It also helped with having enough officiating crews to cover. My point is that now smaller schools are having to play Thursday nights due to the shortage. I agree about Thursday's better than Saturdays.1 point -
Well, well, well….got this from Donald Trump page. Can’t get a link. Hope it’s ok. If not, mods can delete. No wonder Letitia James knows so much about mortgage fraud. All you libs that were cheering her on to “get Trump”, let’s see if you cheer this. Lmfao. BREAKING: Special Prosecutor Ed Martin now has the most documented mortgage fraud case in modern political history Letitia James ran a 40-YEAR CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE while serving as NY's top prosecutor: BROOKLYN (2001-2023): The Foundation ➡️ Legal status: 5-unit building (Certificate of Occupancy) ➡️ Mortgage applications: Consistently reported as 1-4 units ➡️ 10+ false statements to federal lenders over 20 years ➡️2011: Defrauded federal HAMP program with handwritten document alterations ➡️ NYC Dept of Buildings CONFIRMS: "CO on file for MULTIPLE DWELLING" (5 units) VIRGINIA (2023): The Smoking Gun ➡️Aug 2: "This property WILL NOT be my primary residence. I WILL NEVER BE A VIRGINIA RESIDENT" ➡️ Aug 17: Signs sworn declaration: "I intend to occupy this property as my principal residence" ➡️ WITNESSED BY HER OWN AG STAFF who put their legal reputations on the document ➡️ THE ULTIMATE HYPOCRISY: Oct 2, 2023: James launches Trump fraud trial—just 45 days after her own false sworn declaration NY STATE DISCLOSURE VIOLATIONS: The Shell Game ➡️Reports mortgages that DON'T EXIST (Freedom, National Mortgage) ➡️Hides mortgages that DO EXIST (OVM Financial, Citibank HELOC) ➡️Sterling Street property: COMPLETELY OMITTED from state filings ➡️Filed under penalty of perjury - multiple felony violations TOTAL RICO ENTERPRISE BENEFITS: $10.3+ MILLION ➡️ Phase 1: $300K+ in fraudulent loan benefits ➡️Phase 2: Used AG position to avoid accountability ➡️Phase 3: $10M taxpayer-funded defense while under federal investigation Her own lawyer accidentally confirmed the fraud to DOJ. Federal prosecutors now have: ✅ Written confession ✅ Government witnesses ✅ 40-year criminal pattern ✅ Defense attorney admissions 18 U.S.C. § 1014: The crime was complete the moment she signed that false declaration. The prosecutor who built her career on "no one is above the law" is about to discover she was right. To the American People: For someone who built her career on the principle that no one is above the law, Letitia James is about to discover just how right she was. The evidence speaks for itself. James's lies speak volumes. Justice demands prosecution. The federal crimes are documented. The enterprise is established. The pattern is undeniable. Conviction is inevitable.1 point

Your larger schools that are in multi school districts share a stadium and will play on either Thursday or Saturday depending on the number of teams that are scheduled for that week. Yes, there are an alarming number of smaller schools, that have no reason to play on anything other than Friday's, having to play on Thursday due to the shortage. Thursday's are still better than Saturday's in my opinion.1 point

I think he's doing great things. His work on the neuralink is amazing. He has an opinion, likes some things Trump does and disagrees with some. That's pretty normal. The Democrats and the media are good at making catch phrases.......and the liberal left are good at repeating them......Just like the first response from @Boyz N Da Hood - was "President Musk". He was told to say it and he did....1 point -

I’m sure the Dems will be screaming. After all the talk of gerrymandering, they’ve wanted to give statehood to DC & Puerto Rico for their congressional seats & electoral votes. That’s the only reason they’ve been pushing for it so hard.1 point -

Everything about dems is fake, especially their outrage. These two take the cake. Question: Why doesn’t Letitia James prosecute Adam Shiff for mortgage fraud….or better yet, prosecute herself? (Acquiring) minds want to know. Dem catch phrase…..NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW!!!!!1 point

OlDawg reacted to Coachbearoso for a topic
I understand that you want to have faith in coaches, and he has turned it around in 3 years. But after coaching almost four decades I hate it when coaching ego or "the Franklin way" causes teams to lose. We as coaches can always blame the kids, but often it is the coaches stubborness or lack of innovation or just plain common sense that costs us, and by us i mean the team, coaches, school, administration and town. Right now Jackson Dart who may be a good quarterback from Ole Miss and now at the Giants, cannot take a snap from under center!!!!! Because EVERYONE offensively believes in the air offense, shotgun snap--whatever you call it. There is just things that go on, like in government, that coaches pull the wool over the publics eyes. Coaches, especially head coaches are the MOST important part of any team sport. And many are great leaders and build character in our young men. But some aren't and it , like society is getting worse every year. I would tell my defense at Crosby after each game, win or lose, to not point the finger but to look in the mirror and ask what I could have done different. I worked for Jerry Stewart, who had great success at Dayton, at Clear Lake in his first coaching job and that was the type of head coach he was. We turned a state champion basketball team Clear Lake (the year after La Porte won State) into a football power. Anyway, since i am a coach, retired, I know how much control coaches have. I also understand the pressure we are constantly under. I am going to start an online blog on Substack called "Fire the Coach cause we deserve better!" It will come out twice a week. Please follow and tell me what you think. I will start it on August 25 or26. [email protected] Isn't it great that football season is almost here!1 point -
President Trump Is Calling For A New Census!
thetragichippy reacted to tvc184 for a topic
Exactly. A majority in the Senate requires 60 votes to end the filibuster and allow a bill to come up for a vote. It only takes 51 votes to win an issue but 60 to allow the vote. In the House where there is no filibuster and limited time to debate, a one vote majority is actually a majority because the opposition can’t stop a vote. In the Senate the Republicans (or Democrats) could have a huge 59 - 41 advantage and yet can’t pass a bill without support from the opposition. In the House if one party has 218 representatives, leaving the other party with 217, they have an effective majority of in order to allow a vote. In the Senate an effective majority is 60 in order to allow a vote. So when I see comments on, “why don’t we just pass a law”, the answer is that they can’t without at least some bipartisan support from the opposition. They don’t have the required 60 vote majority.1 point -

"No hope in sight"... You are very mistaken. There is a group (sophomores this year) that will IF they all continue to play football be very, very dangerous. I've had the pleasure of watching this group from little league to jr high and now into high school. Last year a few of the freshman played varsity and a couple even started, but the majority that played freshman football. The freshman team went undefeated, constantly put up 40+ pts and have a handful of shutouts. So, in a couple years lets revisit this conversation.1 point -

The good news is they cant be worse than their last team. QB cant be worse than the last one, hopefully they will get a man sized qb with some skills. Vidors set it and forget it scheme hurts them alot but Mathews chose his best friend as his replacement and its the same ole' same ole'. Its the state of mind and good ole boy system that will always hurt them. They are barely making the playoffs in one of the worst districts in the state and the powers that be are content with that. When DuBois builds his retirement up he will assign Trahan to fill his spot. No hope in sight, nothing changes until it changes1 point -
