Like I’ve said before, nothing’s in a straight line. But if you think that athletes just started showing up at Carthage when Surratt did and Surratt was just lucky to have shown at that same time then, well, we’ll just have agree to disagree!
-
That’s why there’s not that many elite coaches at any one time. Or maybe historically speaking. It’s hard. That why only a few can qualify. Thanks for your opinion!

This may have been discussed before, but Kyle Westerberg won 4 state championships in 12 years at Allen and led them to another final. 3 of those were with Kyler Murray. After winning four state championships at the highest level and amassing a 134-16 record over 12 years at Allen, Westerberg moved. Hard to argue those numbers. He's clearly in the elite category. So what changed when he went to Barber's Hill? He still had good facilities, still had a supportive community, had players from good families with lots of opportunities, and I doubt he forgot how to coach. At Barbers hill he went 40-17 in 5 seasons and made the 3rd round of the playoffs once. The program still improved under him, but they didn't sniff a state championship. Then he went to Salado and went 5-15 in two years. Did he turn from elite to only good when he went from Allen to Barbers Hill, and then from good to bad when he went to Salado? The thing is, he didn't have the players to win a championship at Barbers Hill, and didn't have the players to even have a winning record at Salado. But you know who could've won a championship (or two or three) at Barbers Hill? The 2012-2014 Allen Eagles, led by Kyler Murray. It wouldn't even take the whole team. Probably only 5 kids from each side of the ball combined with whoever BH had at the time would be enough. And they wouldn't need Westerberg coaching them to get it done. Any competent coach would do.

There are over 1500 High school football teams, and only 12 champions a year. If a rule was made tomorrow that no coach and school can win more than one title it would take 125 years before every current Texas high school head football coach would win a championship. Of course that's not the case, and programs like Carthage are going to suck up extras. The ideas that A) a coach MUST win a state championship to be elite and B ) an elite coach should be able to do it in 7 years are both silly.

And by his handling, do you mean Trump being involved in human trafficking and raping underage girls, or him allowing too much information to be released about him being involved in human trafficking and raping underage girls? JK, jk…. I think that his handling gives the appearance of a coverup, when there’s obviously a lot of false allegations in there that hurt a lot of people. I can get why he’d want to move on, even if he’s done nothing wrong… but the country just wasn’t having it. Good answer.

I’m sure that I’ve talked about plenty of things that Trump has done that I consider to be good… just not so many this term, and I don’t like the things that he’s focusing on. Ballrooms, coins with his likeness, lawsuit after lawsuit, overthrowing governments left and right, etc. Conservatives on the Supreme Court was a good thing. I like tax cuts when we can afford them, but we can’t right now. I like the easing of regulations, typically, and I’m anxious to see if American automakers can make good on making new vehicles more dependable as a result of easing emissions requirements. He used to be funny, if you have that sense of humor. I loved when he strolled over into North Korea… that was epic. I don’t hate LSU, I can’t stand their fans. I feel the same way about people who are team Trump, all the way, no matter what he says or does. When I KNOW they’d be screaming at the top of their lungs if Biden had attacked Iran, but today they’re like “just give it a few more weeks.”

Only in high school football. BTW, first, Belichick has only been there 1 year. We need to give him a chance. Second, Holtz and Saban couldn’t make the move to different leagues. So…

Politics Have Drained the Strategic Petroleum Reserve This is a must read. But, this analysis was performed before the current conflict in the Middle East. So, the pricing is obviously off for any taxpayer advantage at this time. [Hidden Content] -
That's interesting, especially when reading what Hillary Clinton has to say about it. "Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton argued Wednesday that Russian meddling in the 2016 election in large part cost her the White House..." That's a direct quote from the way left "news" outlet NPR in June 2017 explaining why the Democrat candidate claims she lost the bid for the presidency. It seems, contrary to your claim, that it was due to outsiders meddling in our election process. I wonder what you said about clean safe elections after Trump beat Hillary.

He should have asked you to post something positive. Of course the answer would have been smart aleck. Lol -
I posted this on another thread on accident. The national debt cruised by 39 trillion last week. It hit 38 Trillion back in October. In January of 2017, Trump took office vowing to “erase the debt” with tax cuts, to the cheers of what Dr Sam Parigi called “the great unwashed.” The debt was 19.9 trillion at that moment. Do you see a problem? [Hidden Content]-

I don’t have to label anybody. In return, it’s not fair to label me either. Saying someone is a lapdog isn’t right, although it somehow makes people feel good about themselves to do so. Following the person I voted for means giving the man a chance. This magic wand angle is a bit absurd and really doesn’t show critical thinking at all. When Trump said “on day one” did people really think prices could come down in one day? Well, unfortunately they did. I have no answer for that. To me, those are the childish whiners. Trump is far from perfect but he saved this country from Hillary and Kamala. Socialism/communism is not for me and I will follow anyone who fights against the woke agenda and and puts Americans ahead of illegals. -
Does the 7 year rule only apply to high school or does it also apply to college too? Cause if it applies to college, do you think Belichick will win a national championship if he is at NC for 7 years?
