  1. Past hour
  2. My wife saw on FB, on a local newsman’s page, that the small protest in Beaumont was by people who are not even from here. I think a lot of these protests across the country are infiltrated by outsiders.
  3. Thank you. He was a good young man.
  4. Sorry to hear this
  5. From Seth Davis: The good news: College athletes are going to finally be paid directly by schools. The bad news: Their salaries are about to plummet. I explain why, and why it might actually hold up, at Hoops HQ @hhqsports [Hidden Content]

  7. Brookeland will play Coolidge Ivanhoe Sam Rayburn Wells
  8. Dems will do what they always do and play on emotions. It's the only argument form they have because their entire philosophy revolves around government solving all problems--which leads to bigger government and less freedom. Only fools buy their argument. As a libertarian, Democrat policies are totally the opposite of my desire for a more limited government and more individual liberty. Although--I will say--sometimes the Republicans are just as bad at wanting to control our lives. Just from a different perspective. Anyone remember when we used to say we wanted the Republicans out of our bedrooms, and the Democrats out of our wallets? The lines are getting blurred IMHO.

  10. Your opinion is not fact.....based on all your post, you get your news from a liberal bubble. The difference in liberal versus real news casting is night and day
  11. I think Trump said it best when he was confronted by a reporter about being a King. He basically said everything he tries to do he has to go through hell to accomplish.....That does not sound like a King to me...... You also hit on a point about what the 2024 election was about. ICE is actually following the laws set up and passed by congress. Democrats protesting that I believe are not going to do well in the mid-terms. They are trying to create something that does not exist.
  12. Happy belated FATHERS DAY!
  13. Did you see the larger gatherings in all the multiple cities? Wow 🤩

  18. About Weingarten, she’s like all libs……when you have to pound your fist on the podium, jump up and down on the stage, scream at the top of your lungs to convey your message, it’s obvious no one is listening. Your last sentence is spot on.
  19. It is estimated that 70-80% of the products sold at Walmart stores in the United States are imported from China. This estimate excludes food products, as most food items in Walmart superstores and grocery stores are sourced and produced domestically within the U.S.. [Hidden Content] (Walmart always tries to skew their import numbers by including groceries. They’re also known as being way less than forthcoming. A closer look at their Bills of Lading are very telling.) Don’t get me wrong, I occasionally shop for small items at Wally World. But, they’re items I don’t expect to last. Basically, ‘throw away items.’ Also, I’ve noticed them revamping the local stores and adding a little better quality product line—supposedly—on some of their items. From what I’ve read in business articles, they’re actually losing now on the low price battle to some competitors. So, they’re modifying their inventory to attract a little more affluential customer along with their groceries. Similar to a Target model. Many of the items I used to buy at Walmart, I now buy a comparable/better quality at Tractor Supply. I’ve actually become a pretty big TSC fan. Even bought a sliver of the company—as Stuart Varney would say.

    Uh Oh!

Three of the most corrupt presidential administrations. That’s why.

  22. Just something I found. Like I said, I don’t shop WalMart so it’s a non-issue for me. While a significant portion of Walmart's merchandise comes from China, it's not entirely accurate to say they mostly sell Chinese products. Walmart also sources a large volume of goods from the US and other countries. A report indicated that about 60% of Walmart's imports came from China between January and April 2023, which is down from 80% in 2018. Walmart is also a major retailer in China, with close to 400 stores and clubs. Here's a more detailed breakdown: Focus on China: Walmart has a strong reliance on Chinese manufacturing for certain product categories, particularly those where low cost is a major factor. Shifting Sourcing: Walmart has been working to diversify its sourcing and reduce its reliance on China, including increasing imports from other countries like India. Local Sourcing: In China, Walmart has a strong focus on local sourcing, with over 95% of their merchandise coming from local sources. US Focus: Walmart also emphasizes sourcing from the US, with two-thirds of their total product spend in the US being for items made, grown, or assembled in the United States. Global Supply Chain: Walmart's supply chain is global, with suppliers in the UK, Canada, Mexico, and other countries, in addition to China. Food and Groceries: A significant portion of Walmart's sales are in groceries, which are largely sourced from the US.
