Congrats to Trinity, they have improved dramatically in the past few years. That being said, Tarkington played Onalaska like it was the championship and then didn’t really show up for this game mentally. PG #21 for the Horns had 33 pts and pushed hard, just too many missed opportunities all around. This was one of the weirdest games from an officiating standpoint I’ve ever seen. Fouls called in spurts for both teams even with 3 refs. 3q went the Horns way some which evened the foul count out for the game but Trinitys coach was whining like crazy with an even foul count!!! Then in the 4q, it was so odd. I believe the foul count ended 11-0 in the 4th in Trinitys favor (3 were from end of the game trying to catch up fouls) so really 8-0 with Trinity shooting something like 18 free throws in the 4q. That included a technical. By the way if officials don’t know what a step thru looks like these days, they probably shouldn’t be reffing…

I posted that the player was hopeful to play next week but would not play this week. My point is that the player being out this week was not breaking news. What do you need a screenshot for? You sending that info to Coach Todd?

Excellent game by the Eagles. One game is just one game and one season is one season, but Cody Simper seems to be a great fit at BH. I love the halftime adjustments the staff makes. The BH defense smothered AA in the 2nd half, and the BH offense found the ground game in the 2nd half. I doubt too many people thought BH would be playing post Thanksgiving especially after back to back losses early in district, but here we are. Total team effort tonight. Friendly note to the Beaumont media. BH is closer to Beaumont than teams like Jasper and Newton who gets lots of coverage, but tonight BH was not even mentioned on 6 or 12. Instead there was follow up on yesterdays WOS-Robinson game. BH and PAM are the two teams still alive from the local 5A-1 district. Seems to me it would not be too hard to at least mention BH won and is going into the 3rd round.

Oh ok. Sorry about that. How would I be able to see if a player on SOC was injured? Is there a forum that all of the Dallas area HSFB fans post on? Other than that stupid tush push play, I felt the staff finally called a really, really good game on both sides of the ball. As far as Barrier goes, tonight by far was his BEST game all year. Congrats BH on a solid game…enjoy it and get busy for next week. Watching Weiss dismantle Lufkin after their 1st round game…scary!

A player is injured. That is not news. The extent of his injuries or exactly how long he will be out has not been discussed here. I'm always good.

I texted my brother th following text during the game. “Their downfall is.. They stick to the run too much. I know it’s their bread and butter, but you have got to mix more pass in. They gonna run into teams that will shut down the run game and they have to be legit passing the ball. With no in game practice..when you are force to throw it it’s gonna be trash. They have a passing game…but it’s the playoff now…you’re not gonna be able to throw it like you have been.. More pressure better teams…you NEED to get better.. I know it’s one game at a time…But they are not a passing team so they need the practice… I texted him the following text after the game. ”Good win.. Like I said.. Coaching is suspect when it comes to adjusting in game.. I hate to see this team go down because of bad play calling. The team is there. If they don’t win state is because of coaching.. They’ve been legit all season..even pretty damn good in some games.. But it’s different here.. It’s the playoffs.. It comes down to the few elite teams.. With that said.. I hope they prove me wrong.. I hope they can adjust better next game, the next, etc..” I share that to say this. The coaching has been legit this year. It has definitely impressed me. It has been superior to previous years under this regime. It’s been a very long time since I haven’t watch a Memorial game. Whether in person or streaming. Coaching this year..has been legit. The players themselves are pretty darn good, if you ask me. My one critical concern is the in game adjustments. When the d keys in on the run they don’t open up the playbook. I get it, it’s their game, but you CANNOT be so one dimensional. Perfect example..you get down against a potent offense. The d stopping the run.. You are not just magically gonna have your pass plays in game on q.. Need to build up to that..and they are not. Just my personal opinion. I like PA’s chances though. I wanna get proved wrong and see this team win state. They are legit. Those boyz deserve it. They can’t do it alone though.

Remember, Pelosi is accused of insider trading, which is totally different and illegal.

I tend to agree. Hitchcock limited Hardin’s ability to eat the clock by stopping them pretty consistently. I don’t know that Yoakum will be able to do that. But Yoakum is going to score more than 9 pts

Exactly? I think you know what has been discussed. questions have been asked and answered well enough. I think an info blackout of such things would be best. I don't think anyone has done anything wrong. I just wanted to make a point. I don't think anyone is aloof as to who awaits PNG in the 4th round should they advance. Hardin will not take any team lightly moving forward. Every Team moving forward will be tougher and tougher task. Just have to play our game and let the cards fall in place.
