  2. I was employed by a company who had interest in fracking and exploration. It was a double edged sword for employees. Since we all had to gas up our vehicles every week, we enjoyed a lower price at the pump just like everyone else. But to stay employed and keep our business profitable, the crude oil prices needed to be elevated to stimulate exploration, so that meant paying a bit more at the pump. Some people simply don’t realize how expensive it is to find and retrieve new oil.
  3. A man can't even go fishing in Beaumont. SMH @BMTSoulja1, do you fish?
  4. The first point is somewhat true. You can establish all the residency you want but a school district can still deny enrollment to a student. It gives them the right to deny based on if a student leaves a school because of disciplinary issues. That student would still have to serve out his punishment at the new school or be denied enrollment.
  5. Lufkin, WB & PAM all have one historically tough opponent, and one opponent that's usually a little easier. Lufkin has their major rivalry game with the Lobos. La Porte has 2 quality opponents with their major rivalry game in the Border Battle, and then Ft. Bend Crawford. So, I'll have to go with La Porte right now. I think Ft. Bend Crawford is going to be a solid team again this year with their returning superstars on O. La Porte could easily start out 0-2. Breaking in some new players on the lines may take a few games.
  6. Yep. Like I said previously, I'd expect Brent to hang around upper $70's for the foreseeable future. I don't envision going back into the $60's again. $70's are actually a good number that allows for a balance between fuel costs & margins that allow for maintenance and investments by the energy companies. I haven't heard of any major T/A's in a long time. Usually, that's a yearly, staggered process between refiners. T/A's are a critical function, and the refiners have to have the margins and capacities to enable the down times. In the past, we were around $80/bbl. But, efficiencies and fracking have enabled a lot lower cost structure need. This is a solid link to keep bookmarked for those interested. It doesn't give all the data I receive. But, it's pretty informative for the overview.

  10. I knew we scored too many runs against Alabama. Georgia played just well enough to win, and that’s what counts. Longhorns had opportunities and didn’t produce.
  11. OPINION: Who has the toughest non-district schedule in this 5A-D1 district? (Schools playing 4A & below classification schools are excluded for obvious reasons)
  12. [Hidden Content] | daily headlines Congrats to this pair, looking forward to another great season from these 2.

  14. Two different things here: 1) He has established residency to enroll and attend Barbers Hill. He is not a transfer student. He lives in the District. A District cannot deny enrollment to someone who established residency within the District boundaries 2) Eligibility for UIL will be determined by the DEC based on the PAPF and whether any District in the UIL District questions the reason for the move. Enrollment and UIL eligibility are not necessarily the same issue.

  17. I may have posted this before but I think of Reagan everytime I see it. Lol
  18. That was a catch. Terrible call.
  19. The average American is being squeezed from all sides for sure. I loose a dependent next year as he graduated from college December last year and one more starting college this fall. I’m sure we’ll have to make adjustments.
  20. Georgia playing small ball and it paid off.
  21. It’s why he hasn’t been back. I never celebrated Martin’s death. I simply defended my race because Zimmerman was a Mexican. I ain’t getting into that crap again.
  22. True enough, and it’s been going on for decades. We’d go to jail for writing a hot check, whereas they simply call it deficit spending. I thought the meme showed exactly how democrats are totally against tax cuts, yet scream about affordability. Don’t know your age, but when I lost my kids as dependents, I started owing during tax season. Things like that really help the working man trying his best to support a family.
  23. Correct. Woodville did not sign off. DEC/SEC still can rule him eligible. I don't know if DEC has made that decision yet.
  24. He’s not wrong but he fails to mention the Republicans spend over 2 trillion dollars above what the government takes in yearly. Trump is not a conservative despite what Reagan thinks. As I’ve said before republicans or democrats refuse to cut spending therefore adding to inflation which is a unlegislative tax. I know I sound like a broken record but no business or family can do what our government is doing and has been doing for decades. We’d go out of business and bankrupt if we did but the government just keeps printing more money. SMH
  25. You joined 3 hours ago. How would you know? Is this CB again?!
