I don’t know how many times these teams have played but I’m pretty sure they’ve never met when they’ve both been “undefeated”? On a serious note this is a good test for the new Crosby coaching staff against a program that’s probably a playoff team in their district. For Crosby to have any chance to finish higher than 6th in 17-6A we’re gong to have to figure out how to get stops and a team like BH that’s very good at scheming points is a great opportunity for the defensive staff to see where they stand. Of course BH is the favorite but I think Crosby will be more prepared than we have the last few years.

Ole Aggiesarewe has all the answers. I really don’t think all the teams you mentioned have been averaging giving up about 35 a game for the past several years. Since you seem to have all the answers, you tell me why they have been playing so bad for the past several years. Is it turnovers, penalties, injuries, poor coaching, a lack of talent. Little broken twig issues here and saw 2 trees uprooted at the softball complex on College Street. Just odd what tropical systems can do.

pretty wild stuff. we got very lucky out here in HF land. storm skirted around us. Had winds up to 50, probably 3-4 inches of rain, and it only lasted about 4 hours. Somehow got stronger and absolutely pounded areas north of us.

The best I can find on short notice is Subchapter C Section 1201 of the UIL Constitution and Code of Conduct for general conduct guidelines. A search using the phrase 'Does UIL Texas require handshakes before or after competitions" returns: Yes, UIL Texas requires handshakes between teams before and after competitions as a sign of sportsmanship. This practice is part of promoting respect and camaraderie among athletes. Another search using a different search engine says UIL Texas does not explicitly mandate a technical handshake requirement. It's governed under the league's overarching guidelines for ethics and sportsmanship. I'm not going to search the entire UIL Texas Constitution and Contest Rules. But, it appears to be a core standard vs. a strict rule. Violations are handled by the local ISD to keep the UIL out of specific conduct enforcement. (I can see why that would be tricky for UIL.)
