Yes and no. At the small school level, the really good Freshmen and Sophomores play on Varsity. Stark difference than larger schools.

Thanks! Years ago, I ran the alliance between Dow & a fairly well-known E&C firm. I enjoyed it for the most part. But, the blocks were still fighting against each other in the utility rack areas between blocks. Did quite a bit of work at all 3 sites. Major work on Texas Kiln, Block 430, and the Docks. Was called away to take over a major grass roots for Shell in Geismar. My wife is a retired Aggie Chem E. I retired/saved enough to stop working (since I got no retirement other than what I put back) in 2015.

I saw this on fb… somebody said “last time, he did a lot of things I didn’t agree with, but he made the liberals cry and we had a good economy until COVID, so it was okay. This time all he’s doing is putting his name on stuff and suing people, plus we’ve got a crappy economy. I’ve seen enough.” I bet there are a lot of people who feel like that.

My guess it will have minimal effect on enrollments. I'm remembering when Guidant closed their Intermedics facility, a medical pacemaker manufacturer in 1999 in Angleton which employeed a whopping 1400 people just after aquiring it, I thought it would have a big affect on Angleton HS, but it didn't. There was a modest increase in Angleton's enrollment in both 2000 and 2002. Just because employees have to change jobs doesn't mean they will have to move. They will often find jobs somewhere else though they may have a longer commute. The main reason Dow is doing this is that Dow is not doing good at all, their stock has been dropping for a long time. I'm a Dow retiree and my daughter was a chemical engineer at Dow for 19 years working in automation and she just quit them a few months ago and went to work for BASF, a company right next to Dow's Plant B. Her husband, another chemical engineer still works for Dow and should he get laid off, my hope she will be able to help him get a job at BASF. The odd thing is he started his carreer at BASF and years ago came over to Dow. For professionals, anbody getting laid off should get a 6-digit separation package. At this point all we know is that there will be about 4500 people laid off worldwide and if iirc about 20% of Dow's workforce is in Freeport. Chemical engineers are in big demand',there's always "head hunters" looking for them.

They are saying that the football coaches are not developing the players .

There’s the spin. I want Texas to look like Texas looked when our Lege tried to govern for the benefit of all.

Nothing wrong with a little gridlock. That’s actually beneficial. Death of a POTUS or impeachment proceedings isn’t.
-
Absolutely kudos to Mr. Worthy. It’s great for Silsbee. My point is that ICE tends to target places Hispanics congregate or frequent. To even have to think they might use their disruptive tactics at small businesses In small towns is appalling.

Tho im quoting you, not necessarily aimed at you.. this site has the lowest ground to deem/label someone.. the joke is all the hypocrites who post daily who dont dare call out the other side for their wrong doings.. thats the real joke! I stand on hoping the right gets crushed in November. Gridlock lame duck, fine by me Carry on

I love how you think you’re moderate and sane when wishing for a POTUS—any POTUS—to die while in office, or have the country go through another impeachment process. What a joke.

It could go to veterans or some other great cause. The IRS would probably send it to a day care in Minnesota.

[Hidden Content] Trump won by 17. Very interesting. When one-offs start piling up it’s called a trend. No wonder Donnie begged Schumer to get a deal made. [Hidden Content]

Easy to see why people gathered on J6 to protest the ridiculously fraudulent election.
-
"Fan coaches" got nothing to do with that.
-
Truth… it’s what I’ve been saying. Sane people like you and I, who probably have differing views on a lot of issues, but agreeing that those guys (the far left and far right) are the real problem with America today need to stand up and be heard.
-
Oh, then I’m ok with our tax payer money going to charities of his choosing.
-
Just might be some of these fan coaches are not too far off with the Woodville football program. You might want to look at Woodville's sub varsity scores. Being a large 3A2 team they should have better sub varsity teams. Same goes for Warren. It all starts down there. Example— Newton Jv 50 Woodville 0.
