  3. Look at La Porte, Nederland, PNG, South Oak Cliff — Teams who, in recent years mostly run the ball. I’d guess it’s 3/4 plus are run plays for PNG the last two years. You don’t have to go full Mike Leach. Just call plays that match the situation on the field, not some pre-existing stubborn commitment to “we do [blank] no matter what.”
  4. Look, I don’t care if you call the Wing T, Slot T, or Mr. T! Just find some creativity and balance. BALANCE and creativity! The QB lead blocking in this offense has just about disappeared. The QB is the plus one in the running lane or gap. Without it, this O is useless. This O should’ve been phased out when the cut blocking was banned 5/6 years ago. And it’s not just the O, there’s so much that’s bad. It’s all three sides of the ball. Vidor just isn’t serious about winning football or at least looking the part of being competitive! HF played a circus of a game last week, they’ll be more in tune Friday and it won’t be pretty!
  5. He slit her throat......I worked for an ambulance company from 14 years old (washing ambulances) to a EMT -SS until I was 23 years old. I basically grew up accustom to death and blood. That video gave me chills. She literally made eye contact with her killer and had time to think before she finally passed in her own pool of blood. There are very few things I can think of worse than that. Why this is not on every news station on repeat is beyond my realm of thinking. That woman more than likely was not a Trump supporter, likely a Democrat, yet Trump supporters are rallying for her more than Democrats. Blows my mind......
  6. Maxwell’s trial was in 2021……under Biden’s watch. Why didn’t the Biden administration plea deal for info on Trump? After all, he’s the only guilty one. Lmfao. Trump is being tried in internet court by a bunch of haters. If they were Trump, they would be crying like little babies. Only so-called conservatives get their info from TNR….LMAO The New Republic (TNR) is a U.S. journal of liberal opinion and has a history of progressive and liberal politics, though its specific stances on various issues have shifted over time. The publication's branding and identity have been relaunched with a focus on emphasizing incisiveness, progressiveness, and authority within the liberal discourse, as noted by Pentagram, the design firm. Historical Stance:Historically, The New Republic was concerned with the changes brought about by middle-class reform efforts and the nation's evolving economy and society. Modern Identity:In recent years, the publication has undergone a brand identity and design overhaul to reinforce its qualities of incisiveness and progressiveness, according to Pentagram. Context of Liberalism:While it is known for its liberal stance, the magazine's specific positions on "liberal hot-button issues" can vary, and it has faced periods where its direction was less consistently progressive. Other Perspectives:Some sources characterize it as a source of "liberal opinion" and even "neoliberal" commentary
  7. Playbook??... You mean sheet of paper lol Vidor needs a change... ASAP. If not, the football program will not survive much longer. Kids, parents, and supporters are tired of the same old stuff year after year. Sure, with a new coach, Vidor will take its bumps and bruises, but look at what's going on with the current coach/s. Excitement needs to be brought in to rejuvenate the program.
  8. No idea. It seems that numbers are falling overall in Hemphill. (population, etc.) They did drop from 3A to 2A in last realignment.
  9. What happened why are numbers so low?
  10. Keep talking, AOC, you’re doing great!
  11. I agree, im not pro spread there is just alot other offenses out there than thr slot t. I mean local teams have seen that offense for the last 20 plus years. I wonder if they just give the same ole offense playbook out every year.
  12. Today
  13. when Harrison was at PAM, that's all they did and was 3rd rounders with the 1 rd being Pasadena schools...for awhile, nederland did the same and would bow out rd 2. Gotta go up north to where their worst team would be DC here lol
  14. I still think the district championship will be either PAM vs Lufkin or PAM vs BH or BH vs Lufkin. I think PAM at worst finish 3rd at best 2nd. I just don't see them beating BH and Lufkin...UNLESS injuries to those teams become a factor. I still think PAM is underachieving. Offense is still out for me. Playing against two HORRIBLE defensive teams doesn't tell me much. What we all learned from this last game, studying film does not exist, or DC has forgot how to play defense, or our defense is OVER hyped and yes it's a team despite how good the front 7 is or all the above. None of the WR's are sure handed, have potential, but not sure handed. Run blocking is actually good, but again, that was against horrible defenses. We still have that big fish in a small pond thing....once outside of the district, PAM is super suspect(besides that joke of a first rd playoff game they play). Hightower coming with it Friday and it's gonna be interesting to see if Coach Kline of PAM finds his manhood and don't go grab a hotdog.
  15. Vidor still can be a run heavy team with the threat of passing. Two, maybe three wide set with a TE, two TE set, throw in motion... many variations that you can still be a run heavy team. Give the defense a little extra to plan for, think about.
  16. When you get only 25 players in your entire program (9-12), it's very hard to compete. 25 might could cut it in 6-man, but not 2A DI.
  17. im leaving Ball out. one skilled wr. they LOST A LOT.
  18. Yes i dont think a Air Raid would be a type of offense vidor needs. Silsbee doesnt throw 30 times a game. But i do believe spread the defense out and give the kids some options.
  19. What has happened? It’s that bad in Hemphill now?
  20. NO ONE in Vidor is asking for the spread. You do know there are more offenses than the spread.
  21. Players, parents, supporters are not asking for an offense that throws 30+ times a game. They are asking for an offense that throws somewhere between 15-18 times a game... screens, slants, outs, etc. Right now the players are discouraged and unmotivated to play. They need and want excitement brought back within the program.
  22. As is everything that does not support the desired narrative.
  23. Vidor problems are not because of offensive scheme. Every offense works and doesn’t work. Would love to get a show of hands that believe Vidor has “spread type athletes”.
  24. That's comparing apples to oranges.
  25. I think its a case by case situation. Some teams have the athletes to run it just like the spread. I think the vidor folks are ready to see a different type offense, and you cant blame them. Them and Lumberton were in the top losing programs in the state.
