Looking ahead, Week 7 Coverage Area Schedule
AggiesAreWe replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Football
I plan on attending 5 Lamar games this season. Aug. 29 Abilene Christian, Oct. 10 UIW, Oct. 24 Houston Christian (homecoming), Nov. 7 SFA and Nov. 21 at McNeese. I have season tickets for Lamar home games. I will be attending at least 3 A&M games: Sept. 12 Arizona St., Sept. 19 Kentucky and Oct. 17 The Citadel (military weekend). This is a 3 game package I bought. I no longer have season tickets. I also have Colorado at Baylor on Sept. 26 on the schedule. Going to see Silsbee's Dra'lon Miller play against his old team. -

I agree. My decision of which Friday game to attend will be based on how things are going into that week. But right now I will go with these games for Week 7: Thursday Baytown Sterling at Beaumont West Brook Friday Port Arthur Memorial at La Porte (2nd choice is Orangefield at East Chambers) Saturday Incarnate Word at Lamar -

Joaquin vs Shelbyville… Friday Night…. It’s hard to say at this moment. I would have to wait until the week of for final decision. I can make a case for almost all those games at this time. But things happen, and can change the course -
The reason why I don't get my news from MSNow and CNN is for the same reason I don't eat out of the toilet!

That simply reinforced my stance. Only an idiot wouldn’t believe we have used our missiles. Of course we have. But to totally blame Trump for this is stupid in itself. Like I said, and was brought up in your video, let’s retrieve our missile defense systems from Ukraine and our European allies. The terrifying part of this is not the use of our missiles, but to announce our military capabilities to the world. Only a traitor would reveal our weaknesses. I sure hate that that is all you gleaned from my post. MSM.…the enemy of the American people.

Anyone that keeps quoting Massie and MTG are sycophants. Sycophant: Always agreeing: They say yes to every idea, even if it is bad.

In the midst of me putting together my schedule for the 2026 football season, I couldn't help but notice Week 7 (Oct. 8-10) and how on paper it looks to be a doozy of a week for our coverage area teams. Here are some very interesting games starting with Thursday night Oct. 8: Thursday, Oct. 8 Crosby at Kingwood Baytown Sterling at Beaumont West Brook Joaquin at Shelbyville Friday, Oct. 9 North Shore at Summer Creek Beaumont United at Goose Creek Memorial PA Memorial at La Porte Texas City at Port Neches-Groves Huffman at Bridge City West Orange-Stark at Hamshire-Fannett Jasper at Silsbee (Silsbee homecoming) Orangefield at East Chambers Newton at Hardin Fairfield at Palestine Westwood Some very very good matchups for that week. Makes my decision on where to be that week very difficult. Where would you be that week and why if you could choose one of these games?

Having the cards means having the upper hand. Iran, as with all Muslim militaries, only attacks the unarmed or countries not even involved in the conflict. They are back stabbers and cowards. Cowards never have the upper hand unless they have a nuke. Even then, they would not hold the cards. Except for missiles, their military is non-existent. A tank, jet, or ship would be a sitting duck, and most people know this but will argue anyway. If you are truly worried about missile defense shortages, which have been exaggerated, why not complain about the Ukraine missile defense we gave to them. Let’s retrieve all the missile systems from all our so-called allies, except for Israel. They’re not appreciative or deserving of our protections, and supposedly we need them. For me, I don’t envision a conventional war with China or Russia, except through aiding other countries like Ukraine or Afghanistan. Straight up war would be nuclear. The Fox News comment is laughable. Fox News has more viewers than all the other outlets COMBINED. So what you are essentially saying is that the majority of the people are misled and actually stupid. Nothing could be further from the truth. So, if your son is in a 100 piece marching band and he is the only one out of step, you’d say, “ Look, my son is the only one in step”? That’s about as absurd as your Fox News comment. Remember, people who have opinions such as mine, have to be included in the war rooms where all the plans are laid out. If not, then we are labeled delusional. Also notice how my opinions are of a positive nature. It’s a more difficult stance than to dwell on the negative. Those types are everywhere nowadays.

Half game up. Arlington wins we lose 3-2 not much happened other than we still leave too many especially at crunch time.

Freshmen/9th grade is usually a strong indicator...JV less so IMO as a lot of the better sophomore and junior players may be on varsity instead, especially if the varsity team isn't as talented...on paper, Nederland should be more talented this year, but they have to show it on the field...tough pre-district can have 2 effects, strengthen the team or destroy their confidence...I am not at all against the way they want to play the game, but they have to get bigger and more physical and nasty up front (both sides of the ball) to execute on that type of gameplan...these games are far from meaningless and will help set the tone for the remainder of the season....as always, best of luck to the Bulldogs!
