Your goal should be to win conference championships and make it to postseason games. I think your definition of "competing" is much different than everyone else's definition of "competing". IMO (and most anybody's) making the conference tourney finals is competing. Finishing 2nd or 3rd in the regular season standings is competing. Not competing would be finishing in the bottom half of the standings. Would everyone here love for Lamar to win championships and make NCAA tourneys? Of course. But your take that Lamar has to win championships in order to be competing is absolutely wrong and so unrealistic. I honestly believe that Lamar is heading in the right direction under this AD.
