Woodville has injuries.. HJ didn't look that that great but it was when Kountze scrimmaged them when i saw them

Well eagleswoodville#1, your earlier post didnt reflect any of these last comments, supposedly you didnt agree with HJ being mentioned as a top team in this tourney even after the so called injuries were mentioned. And utfan06, how did Kountze look when yall played us, the score was 1-1 after 4 and it was raining... HJ didnt look that good? Really? I thought Kountze looked great that night... Just my opinion. Woodville has how many kids on their Varsity roster? There were 13 in the dugout last night. Didnt look like "serveral" were out...

[/quote]first off the soul of the woodville team there 3-4 hole hitters are both out and the other player can only hit because he tore something in his shoulder. Hickman is better than any player on the hj team and so is the indian kid

HJ looked alot better than I thought they would. I admit I was wrong about that. But you are mistaken. I'm not gonna sit there and name any names. But if you honestly looked in the dugout, you saw two sitting on the bench casually clothed. And one was at a track meet. The third baseman couldn't pitch due to injury. Our starting SS was on light duty and was only aloud to hit. They pitched their number 4 and a kid that pitched for the JV last year. But HJ played well and I'm eating my crow about doubting them as a contender. Duplant can chunk. I was impressed.

So HJ didn't win, Woodville just gave the game to them is what I'm reading.  Maybe you could've made that announcement for them before the game so everyone would know that Woodville was the better team, but because of injuries they would have a poor showing.

I guess whoever wins the Tournament will get an asterisk by their name:

Winner*

* Due to Woodville injuries

I hope coach does. I've got to admit, at Kountze's tryouts I wasn't very impressed. I knew they had lots of potential and Glad they are starting to come together.

Thats funny, so the 3-4 hole hitter would have caught all those balls HJ hit in the gaps? He would have scored the other 19 runs it would have taken to win? That might be some kind of record... Better than any kid on HJ's team? Really? I have to say, thats confidence right there... HJ layed the bunts down when they needed to, SAC flys and base hits. Doesnt matter who your 3-4 hole hitter is. Lets say he did play and hit 4 home runs... Thats still only 20-6...Hey, how about this, how about HJ really played well and Woodville played poorly... It happens to everyone. Im sure the wheels will fall off of the HJ train sooner or later. Honestly, I need to stop getting on here and drawing attention to HJ because the "underdog" role is working out very good for us. 6-0 and 10 run ruled everyone accept Lumberton... Good luck today Quitman, hope you guys brought all your players...

Oh yeah, HJ will be coming today without one of their top pitchers due to a soccer game. So Quitman, if you win, dont celebrate too much because we are missing a player.... Top pitcher!!!! Not gonna be there!!!! So if we loose, you really didnt do anything accept beat a team that dont have all they're players...

Just want to say good job to both Kountze Lions and Buna Cougars...If both teams could see that kinda of Baseball for the entire preseason they would all the better for it...Austin Marshall good job on the Bump and Ethan Franklin way to go on strong finish from the hill. Great job team as a whole...you guys hit well and backed your pitcher defensively!

So the only reason Hj won is because of injuries and track????
That's pathetic!!!
HJ played a great game of baseball last night and I'll tell you a little secret....
HJ also has 2 of their best players injured Padgett and Cooley.
Woodville may have a great team and had an off night last night. I really don't know.
What I do know is the Hawks have had 6 straight victories and 5 of them were on run rules.

    • He's steadily improving rapidly. Not that your opinion matters much based on some of the wild projections you've made on this site
    • Cohen……a lying, backstabbing pos who does nothing but lie every time he opens his mouth. Let him utter words the prosecution wants to hear, and we can convict. Cohen told his ex advisor that he wanted to kill himself. What a worldly loss that would be. Let anyone on this board be put through the wringer with false charges and lies like Trump has had to endure, and you would be screaming at the top of your lungs how illegal all of this is.
    • It was and remains perfectly timed and choregraphed Kangaroo Court, whatever Cohen just said or lied about.  Face it, under Soros installed Biden and Merrick Garland, the USA is now officially a Bananna Republic with a Goverment that weaponizes itself against and destroys its political rivals. Putin and Xi are SO proud!  Dang I miss Democracy.
    • I haven’t been watching closely, but even the liberal sources even tell the story as “the defense really took apart Cohen’s testimony on Thursday.” It sounds like sloppy work from the prosecution to point out a specific call as being “the one,” when it was easily concluded that this particular call could not have occurred the way that Cohen (and the prosecution) claim it to have happened.    The bad news is that I doubt that it matters much-I suspect that most jurors minds were closed before testimony started.   I don’t see Trump leaving with anything less than a conviction based on the venue (NYC).
    • Tough case all the way around.  The guy had a lot of online activity come out where he made racist statements and statements about killing BLM protesters and looters.  So when he then goes out and does it, it looks really bad.  I've seen a lot of videos where people have driven through protestors, defended themselves against them, etc., and didn't bat an eye.  This feels different, but that doesn't necessarily make it murder, either.  His account of the events that happened vs. the witness accounts were both very different, but I'd also expect both sides' accounts to be self-serving and inaccurate to fit their narrative.  Not really sure what to think on this one.
