1. Hey man I dont know anything about your sons injury, but God bless him, you and your family and may he recover quickly!
2. Kountze should take this game by 21 points...
3. They are out of the Gym...I agree about the talent, but now for the second year the gym has been empty. I guess we will all see if puddle's magic 8-ball is correct or just full of it...lol!
4.
2-8 topps
Who? 2-8 tops
5. Actually had four offensive and one defensive TD...nice to see Franklins new staff working so smoothly together...nice to see an entire staff coach! Gonna be a positive year for our athletes!
6.

88warrior...it has been 40 years since Kountze had a post season apperance...but if one wants to win it starts with attitude and expectations. Maybe instead if knocking folks from K-Town for having confidence and goals, you should get that Band wagon going for Your team. I am glad folks in Kountze feel good about the athletic program...I would rather publicly predict a winning season with a post run and come up short than allow others to put my team in the place they think they belong; that's all.
Sport1971....Hey cheer and talk up Your team ! Have confidence in Your team!! You can do all that without talking down and taking shots at other teams as your town mate did.(if you read my post you saw I wished ALL teams well!)...We are proud of our team here in Warren...proud of the staff we have....we just choose not to beat our chest over it as some....Good Luck to the Lions.. Good luck to Warren...look; when you are Warren or Kountze...sometimes beating of the chest is all you get to do...LOL! But that being said, I did see your well wishes and I did not think any comment made about Warren was intended to be negative or take a negative shot, just a statement IMO: as far as somebody taking a shot...you brought our record / non playoff streak into the lime light...But that really does not bother me either, maybe I am just calloused being from Kountze with all the constant negative background noise we here...LOL. If your all about positive you should just left it at "Good luck to all teams this year"  Anyway look forward to a great game this year; i know several kids that are in Athletics at Warren and they are some great kids and I know they work hard to compete!
8. My honest opinion is Kountze beats Hardin, Woodville, Warren, Kirbyville, Anahauc and drops game with Newton...(of course there could be the upset of the decade, after all Warren beat Woodville last year...but not counting on that...lol!) but I don't think anyone will come out with a win against Newton. EC and Kountze will be playing for the two hole. Like I say this is just all speculation. I watched Kountze in pads Friday and I was truly impressed and look forward to scrimmage this coming week!
9. Agree they need to prove it, that's the only way to be believed...talk is cheap...actions speak!
10. I will agree that Newton and EC are the two that are most likely to be at the top of the food chain 10-2A DI...After that i think it is a dog fight between Kountze, Kirbyville, Woodville. I honestly feel like after such a close losses last year and dramatic improvements across the board in size and strength with sped being the constant, Kountze will go three of four. In addition, Coach Franklin finally got to retool his coaching staff...with the exception of Coach Harper the DC two assistant coaches, Kountze is sporting a whole new look and offensive strategy, which revolves around the running and passing game of Justin Harper, Grayland Arnold, Jace Warren, and Powell complimented by guys like Jaden Cunnigan and Blake Best...all 4.6 or better and in a couple of instances 4.5 or better. As far as the line averaging over 6 ft and 250# all did extremely well in powerlifting this past spring. Defensive side of the ball...they are fast, strong and aggressive with adequate size. Kountze has not seen a post season in 40 years as of this season...it 's a tradition thats gonna get broken this year!
11.
I think the Bobcats will have a great season this fall. They return too much talent to not succeed. Coach Finney has these kids believing they will win every game they play. Regular season will be a good test for HD. The only true cupcake on last year's schedule (Galveston O'Connell) was replaced with Halletsville Sacred Heart. This should be a solid test as they are coming off back to back state championship game appearances including the title in 2011. Hardin, Lovelady, and Normangee will be improved from last season. Groveton will be a tough game especially playing on the Indians home turf. They should be better than last season as well and will have good speed at the skill positions. Easily the two toughest games on the sked this season will be 2A foes Deweyville and Kountze. The Pirates return alot of talent and have a new coach who has turned the program around similar to what Finney has done at HD. The Pirates won't reap the benefit of four extra possessions (onside kicks) or homefield advantage this year. I thought DV was the better team last year, but not by the margin of victory that they won by. This season's game will be a great battle and I could see it going either way. The Kountze Lions are the team that will really be the toughest challenge to the Bobcats. Not knocking either school's kids, but I think Kountze has more talent than DV, but the Pirates are more physical and play harder. If the Lions show up and get up early, it will be over by halftime. If HD plays their smashmouth brand of ball, physical defense, and contains the big play, the Bobcats will will. HD will again sweep their monsterous district (all three teams) with Iola and Colmesneil being tough challenges. I see HD going anywhere from 7-3 to 10-0. Barring injuries, my honest prediction is that HD goes 9-1 in the regular season. Their 3 losses last year were to Kountze, DV, and Groveton. HD dominated Groveton (350 total yards to 130) but didn't get the win. That changes this season. For some reason I believe that HD splits with Deweyville and Kountze. I don't know which game they win, and which one they lose, but it will be tough to pull out both those victories. All three of those games will be closley contested games and the team with the will to win in the 4th quarter will win. I don't see a blowout in either teams favor in any of these games. If HD wins the district, they should get the 2nd place team from District 10. This will most likely be West Sabine or San Augustine (if they get past D-9 3rd place team in round 1). Alto and Mart will win their districts and both end up on the bottom side of the playoff bracket. I see HD beating West Sabine in the 2nd round before advancing to face Joaquin or Bosqueville in the 3rd round. HD pulls out the win and faces the winner of Mart and Alto in the regional final. Hopefully whoever wins that game between the 'Jackets and Panthers will be all beat up! Just my .02 cents which doesnt' mean much, but that's how I feel. Good luck to Hull-Daisetta and all the teams in the area.
I would have to give up thumbs up...great post!
12. I agree eagles...I think it will be a game this year for sure...Kountze does have to prove itself, all this talk is just speculation at this point
13. Well I give the Examiner and "F" on their review. Two reasons: One, Kountze is not a perennial power house and Ima Kountze guy...Number two, Hardin may be better but explosive?  BIT OVER DUN! To me explosive means many offensive weapons...I see Delahoussaye...not saying you dont have some support athletes but he is the man. Really to bad that kid is not in a larger more competitive district because he is talented and needs to be pushed daily to get better and better like 4A or 5A...I watched him run his heart out last year and churn out some yards with virtually no help...maybe he has a bit more help this year but when a defense is keying on one man for the most part and your defensive backfield is pass ready and the defensive front is stacked...like Newton, EC, Kountze, Kirbyville, Anahauc, Woodville...well makes for a long game on the Hardin side...but we will soon see.
