HOw is Livingston popping off so much- what have they done lately?  Crosby has at least made the playoffs, went two rounds deep or better in 3 out of 4 years.  Vidor had its glory moment last year and won the game, but why does there have to be so much negativity.  Trash talk or not, no need to constantly bash when you havent been to the dance very often
So I guess you have something to say, blow your horn or put it up. ;D

I was kind of worried about the KP game before Friday night. Definitely not our best offensive performance, only the second time all year being held to under 400 yards but I don't think many teams in this region have the kind of athletes to run that scheme. CE King is a good football team, matter of fact I think they would make the playoffs in 20-4a, and Crosby shut them out and only allowed 147 total yards which was King's lowest district total so far. Our corner never got tested but he did have an interception and an awesome tackle for a loss on a screen play. If Crosby can get playoff matchups against running teams I think the regional final is a real possibility.
how'd that work out for ya last year?
Worked pretty well. Outgained Vidor by over 100 yards, averaged over twice what Vidor did per carry, and exposed Vidor's athletes in space. Flannigan just refused to adjust the defense for that three yards and a cloud of dust offense Vidor ran. Heck of a lot better run D for Crosby this year though and the offense is scary when we play clean ball. I think Crosby underestimated Vidor last year, won't get that same disrespect this year now that y'all have playoff win.
well, our simple offense (as you call it) ran for 308 yrds on your defense. and since you are so stuck on stats, did it ever occur to you that you gained a good chunck of yards after we went up 35-20 and started playing conservative. oh, here is another stat. only 7 second half points for crosby. guess all them yards don't mean much if you can't punch it in. hmmmmmmm.
Played conservative? What do you mean, you were giving up 9 yards a carry so you backed off and gave up 12? We gave you the ball inside the 20 three times, punts of 6 and 8 yards and fumbled the opening kick. Like I said, Crosby didn't respect a team that hadn't won a playoff game in 47 years so we thought we could just show up and win. No such problem this year though and bad luck against Barbers Hill, the Eagles should fire y'alls decrepit streak back up.

yeah, you know that thing you do when you are up by 15 in the fourth quarter and the opposing team can't stop you.
He's probably just shocked by how a team with a loss to 3a Silsbee, less than 100 total yards on Dayton, and no wins over a team .500 or better could be talking trash.
All I got to say, I wouldn't want to have to play Dayton in the first rounds, 3 years is enough for me. Let someone else have that task, we've paid our dues.

Just doing my usual stat geek stuff. Walter boys got it going this year. Aston #3 in the area in 4a passing behind Sharp(SC) and Isadore(NCP), Austin #3 in the area rushing, Justin #4 in the area receiving. They're doing this with the easiest part of the district schedule still to come. Liking the Thursday night spotlight this week.
I pull for everybody from SETX. I had to hold back the vomit in my mouth but I was even pulling for Vidor last year against Angleton. I just hate how hard it is to get out of the region over here. Potentially two top ten teams could be at home after the first round.
Maybe it's because the rest of 19-4a depends on BH to win a playoff game so we can talk ish to the district across Trinity but are continously failed?
I dont know about this year... I think BH get atleast 1 playoff win... If thing end up the way I predict, I think 19-4A is going to sweep 20-4A... I think any of the top 4 teams in 19 4a could beat eachother on any given night and I think the match ups are in favor of 19 4a...  I think the playoff teams will be these: 20 4a Nederland, vidor, livingston and LCM(yea I said it)
19 4a Dayton, Summer Creek, Crosby, BH
If this is the case
Div I - Ned vs Dayton/Summer creek
          vidor vs Dayton/Summer Creek
I think it does not matter who wins district in19 4a, Dayton and Summer are better teams... I think 19 4a has more talent, (esp summer creek) and coaching in favor of 19 4a

Div II  LCM vs Crosby
          Livingston vs BH
Crosby and BH are playing very good football right now.  I just dont see them losing to either of these teams... but that is why we play the game.
If Central end up in the playoffs then vidor will go Div II... which means they will more than likely play BH..... that will be a good smash mouth football game.. toss up there..  who ever wins that game will have the least amout of turnovers..
Ozen does have a outside shot... but if they get in, they will play Crosby... and I think Crosby will win... they have the athletes to compete...
I have nothing against 20 4a.. I am from that area... IJMO on who is the better teams based on match ups....  good luck everyone!!

This might change the game KP starting QB is out for the rest of the year.
From the research I was doing he was their best player. Still a sophomore though along with the rb so he has time to bounce back. Short week, loosing the qb against a D coming off two consecutive shutouts, Crosby might blow this one open. 38-10 Coogs if this is true.

What happened?
heard he got in trouble in school.... something about grades and code of ethics... heard parents wanted to keep him out of sports, but coach convinced the parents to keep him in.  Which is good for the kid... just has to sit out the rest of the year..

Good for the parents! Kids need to learn the importance of an education, not just running a football up and down a field. Something I stressed to my kids and make sure they do the same with their kids. Love to see parents stand up for their kids future, even when the kids don't understand why.
