3 Way Tie

Alright, if West Orange Stark beats Hamshire-Fannett and Orangefield beats West Orange Stark, there would be a three way tie for third with a 4-6 record in district. What does everyone think about that and what would happen then?

It could very well happen (though I am not betting on it ;)). But, if it were to happen, then there will be a three way coin flip to determine what team gets a bye while the other two will play it off. Winner of that game would then play the team that won the bye in the coin flip to determine who advances to the playoffs as the #3 seed.

That's assuming that OF beats BC tonight and loses to Silsbee on Friday. And also that WOS loses to HJ tonight, as well as HF having to lose to Silsbee tonight and HJ next Tuesday.

Might have to look more closely at the 3 way tie breaker.

Depends on what the district minutes say but, I was involved in one in 2001 where there was a three way tie for district champ.  Coin flip determined who got a bye while the other two teams had to play (we were one of the two that had to play).  We win the play in game on a Thursday night.  Turn around and had to play the team that got the bye on Friday night.  We beat them on Friday night.  On Saturday, the team that we beat on Friday night had to turn around and play the team we beat on Thursday night to determine 2nd and 3rd.

Honestly, I see WOS beating HF and Orangefield and getting the 3rd place spot without any tie breaker.
