I don't know where the 3 on 3 myth came from. Check the game tape......all bench personnel leave the team area & all 10 players participate in the altercation. The only players eligible to continue to participate post fight are any of the 10 that were on floor at the time of the fight AND do not engage which there clearly are none. The ruling from the committee is the same as the UIL committee would have found if it were to go that far.

With the blocked shot happening before the contact, unless the contact is intentional or flagrant, the contact is incidental thus ignored.

Guys, I must insert myself into this discussion about the ball hitting the backboard. It looks like it did in the video....but it makes no difference whether it did or didn't hit backboard. The only criteria for goaltending is if the ball is on its downward flight ONLY. You guys are citing an NBA rule but NCAA & HS it is not. My 2 cents.
