    East Chambers is a nice place for playoff games. I went to the BH - LCM game Monday night. That place is awesome

    Coach Ellerbee @ LC-M has already scheduled EC for Fri. Feb. 12 @ 7 pm LC-M gym.

    Team, you hit the nail on the head. My nephew plays for Buna jv & I follow most of his games. This year alone in district, there has been only one official @ Buna twice and NO officials @ Warren.....had an ex-ref parent volunteering. When we went to East Chambers there were 2 officials in both gyms. I think East Chambers uses the taso chapter, i recognized some familiar faces. The Bmt uil chapter is hurting. Hope this gets fixed next year.

    What else would you expect from the Rodney's Refs a.k.a. "Bmt - UIL". Guess it didn't help, they still lost to that "football" school.

    Why were there no refs for the freshman and jv games? this was the third time I seen this at a BISD game. Did they make somebody mad

    Foul before release, there is team control = no points. Foul after release, no team control = points are counted & penalize the foul.

    horndawg, from your description of this play it would not be a technical foul because this is a live ball contact foul. Rather it would be an intentional flagrant foul which does not matter if it affects the outcome. The NFHS rule book states that all fouls except flagrant will be ignored if no effect on the game outcome is derived. Because of the Texas C.O.P.E. program & potential legal liability that officials are subject to nowadays is what has driven this to be a rule. Judging by the " excessively shoves and throws elbow into inteceptor " then you would have to penalize this foul. Sorry guys!!!!!!!!!!

    If a 2-point shot is made & an intentional foul is called, 2 points good, 2 ft's & the ball is awarded @ the spot closest to where the foul occured. It is the exact same procedure if the 2-point shot is missed. If a 3-point shot is made & an int. foul is called, 3 points awarded, 2 ft's & the ball is awarded @ the spot closest to where the foul occured. Now, if the 3-pointer is missed, then it is 3 ft's & the ball is awarded @ the spot closest to where the foul occured.

    I have scouted teams while Bmt chapter's finest was working and it is as bad as I have seen anywhere in this region. Their leadership is the biggest problem, stating with the President who is scared of his own shadow.
