I was under the impression that it was not a "done deal" to close the school. HISD had not made a final decision on if the school would close and the students "absorbed" into HISD schools or if they would just run it as part of HISD and the campus would remain intact.

Either way, we knew they would leave 19-4A.

I am guessing DV goes 1A. That would leave a six team district:

If EF01 is correct and Newton goes Div. II. Not a bad district there, reasonable travel, and I would also guess it would stay the same for all sports in addition to football.

So Goose creek has lee at 1700, GCM at 1800 and RSS at 2200 but they cant figure out how to allocate the numbers were they are all 4a schools? Doesnt make sense. Baytown sun had an article this weekend that sterling had 2100 kids last realignment and the 4a cut off was 2065 LOL . Give me a break, nice job Gooden and York!

Buna won't go 3A.....their buddy in Austin will make sure of that.....I am sure the numbers will be adjusted to keep them in 2A just like a few years ago.  Would like to see Deweyville go 1A.......the pirates would be competitive in 1A in all sports.

If that is what Calpreps came up with then Calpreps has no credibility. Buna would fail to make the playoffs in District 10 2A Div 2 there is no way they would be able to go 4-2 against the 3A schools listed.
