The TSUS board of regents meetings are being held now and looking at the agenda here's a few items I found pertaining to Lamar:

1. Athletic fee
2. Naming of Room 200A in the Setzer Student Center
3. Naming of Dorms and Playing Court at Montagne Center
4. Award the Doctor of Humane Letters (L.H.D) Degree

Does anyone have more details on these items?
Looks like they've received more sizable donations. Maybe the naming of the playing court is for a new scoreboard? 
I also wonder if they want to raise the athletic fee to support a move to the WAC?

I agree that the scoreboard needs to be replaced as well as the sound system.
I feel the lights along the sidelines need to be more focused onto the court and not so much into the stands.  Sitting in the lower side-court, you get a glare from the lights from across the way.  Being an amateur photographer, I have noticed that some other arenas Rice, UT, and even Katy, Merrell Center, have better lighting. Most people would not notice, but the photos tell the tell.

A lot of people may not like it but the court at the Montagne Center will be named Billy Tubbs Court.

There is no other individual who has done more for the university from a player, assistant coach, head coach to AD. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Tubbs

I hope they grant the request by Lamar. All four are important for various reasons to the university.

I like Billy Tubbs and am glad the court is being named for him.  There is no one who did more for Lamar Athletics, especially basketball than he did, period!  An honor well deserved!
