1.   I first was drawn to the site because of the photos, so much so I though he may have use one of mine as his cover photo for his gallery.  In looking for a place to make a comment I found the review.  I was disappointed.  I agree with most that have posted here and thought I would offer some advise to improve, but the more I thought about it, I thought NOT! I posted this on the site: Lamar Football is Golden in the Triangle I just read your review and am very disappointed. You obviously did not research much before you wrote your review. I question your motives to write such a report. If you expect your site to be used by quality people, your reports need to be truth-worthy and complete. I could go on, but it is not worth my time. I could not recommend your site to anyone
2.
It's been like this ever since Pat Foster left over 25 years ago. Being an LU basketball fan is incredibly frustrating.
You got that right  :'(
3. I saw misses in the video, apparently it was more about the number of shots.
4. Matt posted the youtube video on Facebook tonight. [Hidden Content]
5. Mike still has to prove himself this week in practice to be able to come back.
6. It would be nice to get those shows started.  Mike just said that at 10p tonight he may have word on Mike James, that he practiced with the team today.
7. I posted photos of the St.Gregory's and St. Mary's games. [Hidden Content] .. [Hidden Content]
8. I too have been on the Campus a few times, especially since footballs return.  I think I have related this story before, but not sure here.  I have parked at the McDonald Gym lot and on my walk to the stadium I was admiring the change.  I commented to someone near that it had been nearly 40 yrs since being on the campus, at least that older part.  Someone else came up from behind heard me and said we have a beautiful campus and when we walking together I pointed out the Montagne Center he was astonished and was impressed with the Stadium too.  He lived in Houston, but went to South Alabama. Crossing over to the tailgating areas he was totally blown away, totally impressed with what was going on. He went on to will call and to meet up with friends. If you have not been on campus in a while, you should. [Hidden Content]
9.
I knew what it was skip. It is a reference to how most young people would not know what it is since it is somewhat obsolete now. Hence the  :D.
formercaveman, I forgot to acknowledge your comment.  I read your smiley face and figured you knew.  I find the young peeps don't know what a transistor is. much less a transistor radio is.  I had to replace my walkman recently and they are becoming hard to find. Wally World had a Sony Walkman that is just right to bring to games, use on a walk or run.
10.
What's a Walkman??? :D

Portable radio with head/earphones.
Skip your right, it is small transistor radio AM/FM that is fading with the advent of other new forms of connecting with entertainment and news. It all started with the crystal radio....just thinking how far we have come. Anyway, having a radio clues you in on stats on players and what could be going on , on the field.  Harold Mann, and others do a great job covering the games.  That includes the football games, basketball games are to noisy and signal weak in Montagne.
11. A little helpful hint also is to bring your walkman radio to hear the game on KLVI like tonight. Harold does a fantastic job covering the game.
12. Coming up Thursday morning on KLVI Al Caldwell talks with the new Lamar Mens Basketball coach at 8:15. Hear it on klvi, klvi.com, or on your smart phone with iheartradio.
13.
[Hidden Content]
Thanks for the link. I had not idea so many schools were looking for a new coach, but thats the life of being a coach. I noticed on the home page of link there is mention of Lamar and WAC expansion, how ever it may be dated.
14. I got this email yesterday: [Hidden Content]
15.
ROC will be back 1 more year i bet!
Kerry, as much as I don't like it, I agree. He recruited some talent, maybe he will add a good x and o man for the bench.
16. This was put on the Lamar site last night.  Also a couple of local news stations have announced the news. [Hidden Content]
17.
NIT??
This is the WNIT site: www.womensnit.com/showstory.asp?id=206 The committee will announce the 64-team Postseason WNIT field late the evening of Monday, March 14, following the NCAA Tournament field announcement. The WNIT field will consist of 31 teams that receive automatic berths, and 33 teams that are awarded at-large berths. Teams are chosen based on varying criteria as outlined below. All games in the single-elimination format are played at the main or alternate facilities of participating schools. Here are the date ranges for each round in 2011: Round 1 March 16-18 Round 2 March 19-21 Round 3 March 23-25 Quarterfinals March 26-28 Semifinals March 30-31 Championship April 2 The WNIT understands that many schools interested in hosting cannot hold their facilities for the entirety of March, but if teams can hold one or two dates open in each round, along with the championship date, that helps ensure that those schools can be considered as host sites. Note: A school’s ability and/or desire to host games in the Postseason WNIT has absolutely no bearing on team selection for the tournament. Selecting Teams The WNIT committee will choose 64 teams for its 2011 Postseason WNIT. The field will consist of 31 automatic berths – one from each established conference – and 33 at-large teams. The intention of the WNIT Selection Committee is to select the 33 best available at-large teams in the nation.
18. It was an exciting win, there was a lot of electricity in the air, with the Seniors.  But the biggest plus was the loud and rowdy students.  It was nice also to see some football players there too, although they have been there at other games too. We again did lose a big lead and did nearly lose this game.  No defense.
19.
I honestly think Coach Roc has lost the respect of the players and they are just riding out the last couple of games. Lamar doesn't win another game this year. Which sucks as I'm followed Lamar MBB since I was twelve years old.
Sad commentary...I agree.  I see it on the bench.
20.
Yes they do have a training staff. David McDonald is the trainer and the guy Mike James ran over trying to save a rebound. He can't run out to the floor until coach Roc tells him too for some reason. Also, the college rule about throwing elbows to clear space is an automatic technical fall if done above the shoulders I think. Then refs can go to the monitor to see if it was intentional and can even eject the player.
I also thought that they should go out to tend to Minor, but I sit close to the bench and heard coach Roc tell them NOT to got out.  He said it a couple of times to make sure they understood. Coy, Lamb and Brown had to carry him off the court.
21. I have to agree with LUFAN, the refs were bad, they bought into some of Bose flops and I don't think Davis threw an elbow for the T.  The last couple of games the coaches have sat as said oddly.  I thought at first the coach on the end was in the dog house too.  At 2:29 left in the game during a time out Roc went balistic slamming his clip board a few times on a chair then on the floor.  I guess because they  at ahad lost the 25 point lead. A win is a win.
22. Like I said, Taylor Hayes with 11 pts off the bench and Coach Tidwell mentioned her defensive effort.  She has played well on defense, always looking pass deflection in the passing lanes, IMO, she needs more playing time.
