PNG Girls 8-1 over Goose Creek!  Great way to start the year....

Lcm boys scrimmaged at bridge city.  JV boys beat bc 6-0.                                                                                                                      Varsity won 4-1.  Game was broken into 4 20minute quarters.  Lcm scored 2 in second and 2 in third.  Bc scored at end of game.

[/quote] It was as good as expected, Kelly girls came out on top 2-1. When West Brook hits their stride they will be a hand full for any local team. Might have to take in the West Brook/ PN-G game it should be a real fun one to watch.

I left the Kelly/ PNG game with two minutes left and it was 2-0 Kelly. Both teams moved the ball well, PNG did so in the second half. Good game from both teams, looking forward to seeing other local teams play.

Good game for both teams.  WB's first game of the season experimenting with a new system of play and evaluating where each player fits best, deciding on the starting lineup.  Everyone got lots of playing time.  Every field player got subbed in and out.  I know the girls were hoping for a win but in the long run, playing with what works for the team is what's best.  This is after all a scrimmage.  Congrats Kelly.

Nederland beat Lumberton 4-1 in their scrimmage.

For girls, LCM beat Silsbee 8-0.

I don't think any games start until next week

Congrats to the Goose Creek Girls! Also, PNG Girls play today in Angelton against Angelton and Montgomery!  Will update later....Angelton is #4 in Pre-Season Polls so should be a good test.
