navydawg31 Posted yesterday at 04:42 PM Report Posted yesterday at 04:42 PM I wonder how much of this paddle case interferes with the coaching staff and team… it has now hit the world news. Quote

If nothing else, it will motivate and be positive. I truly believe the assistant coaches have brought back discipline since my nemesis Xbox Kenny ray left. I didn’t like him, but he demanded respect and discipline, which in part he’s successful Quote

FrodoNDN Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago Don't really know what we have this year. All I have heard is that our O and D line is a lot leaner than in the past few years but our skill players are top notch. Anyone following closer have thoughts for PNG Quote
NDNation Posted 21 hours ago Report Posted 21 hours ago I voted PNG of course, but it's PAM, so not surprised at all if we take an L. Quote

prepballfan Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago We will see. We only have had one scrimmage. We did not play our starting RB. I am not sure if coach Joseph does not treat this as his second scrimmage. Only used the starting QB in the scrimmage last night for 8 plays. This is very much as they did against their scrimmages the last 4 seasons. People kept saying why is the QB not looking as accurate. Maybe because he was on the sidelines. Coach Joseph and Coach McDaniel are great coaches. They know what it takes to win the long way around. They will use the next 4 games to get the best team together and also play 2 teams who they will see again in the playoffs possibly. PAM may well win this game. I am just not sure you will get what you want out of PNG as they have used game 1 as a scrimmage style game all but 1 season. The one in which most of the team was back and they went full game mode. Looking forward to it. After Coaches comments I think he will treat it as a scrimmage with so many new players. I wish this game was the second our 3rd game for PAMs sake so they could play a more complete version of the team. Coach Joseph put us in a brutal preseason schedule. I look forward to playing PAM because they will help us develop into what we need to be to make a playoff run. Will say this is a fast PNG team. They have speed in the secondary, backfield, and receivers. Some LB speed as well. One of the better secondary's we have had in a while. I could go way more into this but I don't wanna take up to much reading time. Best of luck neighbors. I do wish we played in a week r two so you could get a better version to also help your team be better. I am not saying PNG will be a lame duck Just that we still need more work on positioning players and I believe Coach J will work on that. I could be wrong but in all but 1 season he has treated this game as a scrimmage style game. Once again Best of luck neighbors. I hope you guys have an amazing season. Any more questions Ill answer for what I know. Quote

1970 Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago I think this first game is "sort of like" a 2nd scrimmage for PNG, figuratively speaking, but saying that Coach J. considers this game a scrimmage is taking it way too far. ALL first games, for all teams, regardless how many scrimmages there were, reveal things that need work, or changes that may need to be made. In PNG's scrimmages it's not uncommon for C. Joseph to run the exact same running play 5 or 6, or more, times in a row, with the same players, for whatever reason. But I'll venture to say that you won't see that happen next Friday night. If they roll up to Port Arthur running the same plays this game will end up like 2022. He doesn't want that to happen again, trust me. Quote

FrodoNDN Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago We are smaller on both O and D l8ne fe9m what i have seen. Doesn't mean we will be bad just won't be pushing people around. A lot more finesse. Our skill players should be exceptional but they have to be blocked for. The WOS running back was a good test and allowed us to see our weaknesses on D. Hopefully we can shore that up Quote

He's confident so I will have to lean on his expertise. Knowing what PA lost on offense, I was concerned about the Oline...... All I will say is, this is the perfect year to get PA. This will tell if the Titans have evolved into an re-load situation or waiting on a class. Cuz if they have anything close to what happened last year, they will be a force to deal with the next 2 years after this one Mr. Buddy Garrity and prepballfan 2 Quote
