Pena was robbed of HR but was triple I guess because right fielder was part of the field. when he caught it ober the fence abd dropped it on the field

Bullpen gave up 2 hits while recording 13 outs.  Sousa gave up two walks but the other 4 guys gave up no free passes. Good ball game.

The stat shown in game about Alvarez having 8 homeruns against the Rangers while only 3 teams have 1 more on the season than he has by himself is outstanding. He is a one-man gang!

Alvarez hasn't hit a home run in 4 games. Probably won't hit one ever again. Hope the Astros can dump him before the trade deadline.

That's 6 consecutive wins and 11 of last 12.

It's the first time Houston has been 3 games above .500 since April 4 when they were 6-3.

I agree that Pena is the MVP of this series.

I really would like to see another arm on the roster but doesn't look like it will happen.

Astros have the worse farm system don’t have much to give… after all the big trades over the years.

I agree. Only way Houston gets another arm for this season is to give up a player or two on the current big league roster.

Yeah that’s the only way, tough spot Astros in. Month ago I was thinking Astros blowing up the roster..

Who do the Astros have they would be willing to move, what could you get for the player(s) you would give up, who would need/want them, and what teams could build a better package with so many teams in contention this year?  

We could see a shocker move, a "flyer" move for an old pitcher as a salary dump for another team, and possibly nothing big or nothing at all. Wait, see, and wonder.  Will be an interesting day across the league.

They aren’t. To be honest I may be a little upset if they did… if Astros get into post season play we will scrape by and get bounced out round 1. With the Dodgers making another move with Skuball everyone is playing for runner up. Dodgers killed baseball, and I am so ready for a salary cap.

Well we have a trade. Arrighetti for Daulton Varsho. Interesting.  

Varsho is a rental, as he will be a free agent after this season. Make a run and Varsho produces...good trade.  Flounder and Arrighetti becomes a quality pitcher for several seasons...bad trade.

Arrighetti was 7-5 with a 4.60 ERA and 1.34 WHIP. 87 K's, 50 BB in 88 innings pitched.

Varsho is batting .243 with 7 HR and 26 RBI.  OBP is .307, SLG .375, OPS .682

Math tells me we got the short end.

Apparently we don’t need him either. I have a hard time accepting a player back on the team who was offered a record contract at the time of his departure.
