Warren ISD Announces Boys Athletic Director & Head Football Coach: Kenneth Riedinger 🏈
A lifelong coach and proud Warrior parent, Coach Riedinger brings passion, faith, and a relentless underdog mindset to Warren ISD. As he says, “God made me a coach - and it’s time people fear the spear.” He’s ready to lead our student-athletes with heart, discipline, and results. Coach Riedinger is a 1995 graduate of Silsbee High School, where he competed in football, basketball, baseball, and track. He attended Kilgore Junior College and earned his B.S. from Northwest Missouri State University in Physical Education with a minor in Health, and is Special Education certified. His connection to Warren runs deep. His grandfather graduated from Warren in 1945, his son will soon be a Warren graduate, and his younger children are current Warriors. His wife, Megan, proudly serves WISD as the Educational Diagnostician, is a former Fred Elementary Teacher of the Year, and was last year’s Special Programs Tribe Tribute honoree.
The future is strong. The future is Warrior

Heard they had some good candidates(more than usual) that interviewed and Coach Riedinger was not mentioned.

Has Kenneth Riedinger had any OC/DC experience? I tried to look him up and only found head softball at Evadale.

He maybe the right guy for the job. IDK.... but questionable.

Good luck to Coach Riedinger and the Warren Warriors.

In fact, this Superintendent has made 3 HFC hires in his 3 years in office.  All three have been internal.

Good luck to the new coach though!

Do you see this as a plus or minus?

Made sense to me the first hire.  They went .500 for the first time in a decade or two - so made sense to me to hire internally and continue building.  Baffling now to fire two coaches in a row and hire yet another on the same staff.  I feel like it's good old Warren just banging their head against the wall.  In regard to the Sup (left us at the end of 2023) - he's a Woodville guy so I pull for him.  However, I feel like it is getting redundant.  The basketball team has improved greatly since he has arrived, but the football team has tanked... HARD and the baseball program is the most underachieving group in the region.

It is all kind of sad because I was hoping that Warren would get good and we could have a great rivalry renewed here in Tyler County.  I was curious and looked up the last decade of Warren football.  This year with Bud Adams, Warren went 1-9 (0-9 vs UIL schools).  Hopefully this new coach will stay a while - but recent history is telling us that he won't have a lot of support.
