Bridge City vs Navasota

Bridge City shocked the state last week by winning against Chapel Hill.  What are the expectations for BC here?

Bridge City could win this one. Navasota will be similar in athleticism, but they won't run as vanilla of an offense as CH does. Bridge City plays hard...and that gives you a chance to win every week

BC Defense will show up like every other week, BC needs some of the other offensive players to step up. The last 2 weeks BC has been plagued with dropped passes (unless it's thrown to Munguia)

So you don't know...it's okay. Generally speaking the 1 vs 4 game between these districts has been a complete toss up over the past 6 seasons since this region became what it is now. It really depends what team gets the 4 seed in that district. 

Basically 10-4A's district champion would be fighting to be the 4 seed in district 9-4A most years.

2025: Chapel Hill (4) lost to Bridge City (1) 24-21

2024: Lindale (4) beat LCM (1) 49-21

2023: Athens (4) lost to Lumberton (1) 40-14

2022: Palestine (4) lost to Lumberton (1) 54-29

2021: Chapel Hill (4) beat Vidor (1) 25-20

2020: Chapel Hill (4) beat Livingston (1) 49-37

Navasota is maybe not quite as good as Chapel Hill, but likely still better than anyone on BC's regular season schedule this year. This one will be a tossup IMO.

Really hope BC gets the win this week.  They could be short a linebacker with an injury. Heard could be a toss up if he plays or not. But pulling for all the 409 teams!

4 seeds beat 1 seeds every year.  Hence the justification for allowing 4 teams in.. because some districts are just exponentially better/worse than others.

I'm hoping BC wins because I'm gonna buy a ticket and go sit in Bridge City's stands to watch them play Kilgore. Keep this energy up BC.

I think that we have some good teams in SETX right now and we may be following them for a while!  BC playing well.  Newton and WOS going well.  PAM and PNG expected to play for a while. Hardin has been a blast to watch this year.  They are about to be playing tougher defenses however I expect them to continue to roll!  BC will be in for a matchup but have every reason to win this game.  Hopefully the linebacker is able to play.  Any idea what's going on with him?  My cousin is a doctor and can take a look at it! LOL

If they're playing without #10...they're in trouble. That guy is the best player on their defense and it isn't particularly close.
