Even though I’d like to see Nederland take this one, I think LC will be too much for the Bulldogs.

This is a bad matchup for the Bulldogs. Weakest part of Nederland’s defense is the secondary, and the strongest part of Lake Creek’s offense is the passing game.

Lake Creek about 50-14.  Splendora’s defense is the only defense in the district worse than Nederland’s. I would fire the secondary coach or coaches the 1st day after the season is over

Splendora, while we're talking about it, is a mystery. The town has a listed population of about 2000 people. That's 2,000.  Their coach, multiple times, faced with 4th and long, backed up deep in their own territory, had the team go for it rather than punt. PNG took over at around the 11 yl on one occasion. Their pass defense actually isn't so bad. Their run defense could be better, but considering the size of the line, they hang in there as best they can. The refs there at times don't throw flags or indicate the infraction, they just mark off penalty yards and somehow the teams know what's going on. Oh, and their extra point defense? It's got to be the best in the district.

So their district must include areas outside the city. That’s not uncommon.

The enrollment at the high school is 1700 according to the athletic director!!

Yeah I know they're 5a of course. I just wasn't picturing it, I guess it's been a good while since I've been through that area.

Crazy growth in splendora!! I wonder why there is no growth in the huffman ,dayton and liberty area ?
