Ranked and playing the first conference game if the season in less than hour at home.  Getting no love on this site at all.  Que the complainer?

There is absolutely no reason for anyone to complain or be negative about the state of Lamar football.

But the ultimate site "realist"(pessimist) will most definitely find something to whine and complain about.

Coach Rossomando is doing a great job.

I've been following all year. Happy to feel we have a chance to win almost every game against teams in the FCS. It looks like our "toughest" part of the schedule is in November but every game will be tough. Nicholls already had beaten UIW at home so even with their record they were no pushover.

Go Cards!

Yes the Cardinals are playing good football now. Probably the best they have played in many years. AggiesAreWe is correct in saying coaching staff is doing a good job. They have a chance to win the conference if they keep improving

Lamar ties up the game with East Texas A&M with 7 seconds to play.  Then, on the kickoff ETA&M fumbles the ball and LU returns it for a TD to win it.

Not the easy game one would hope for, but it's a W!

Yep after trailing 16-3 at half Lamar scores 30 points in the second half...20 of them in the 4th quarter and 13 in the last 3 seconds.

Final 33-23. It was a rather sloppy game. I had a feeling we were going to lose but somehow pulled it out at the end.

Was following the East Texas A&M gamecast.  It had Lamar tying the game with a field goal and winning on the ensuing kick off.  It later corrected to a touchdown to take the lead and then the additional fumble return on the kickoff.

The Vaqueros of Rio Grande Valley visit LU next week.

Lamar made a field goal to tie it at 23-23. During the field goal attempt they called a leverage penalty on East Texas so Lamar took the points off the board. They had a first and goal at the 4 but I think only about 11 or 12 seconds remained. On first down they had an incomplete pass so it was 2nd and goal with 7 seconds left. So it was score on the next play or do the field goal attempt again. So they scored with 3 seconds left to take the 27-23 lead. Then on the kickoff they do all the lateral plays and Lamar picked up one of them and ran it in for the final 33-23 score.

I listened to KLVI and also watched the stats scoreboard. They had different scores for a while to where even the Lamar announcers didn't know if they counted the last touchdown. Then they confirmed it was a score.
