Huntsville has the talent to win,  but they won’t.  The West Fork game was an ugly win as the Hornets just couldn’t put the game away until late.  The defense was good.  It was mostly 3 and outs for WF except for about 3 big plays that kept them in it.  On offense, the Hornets could have run at will all night, but kept trying to throw, which they aren’t very good at.  I guess they were trying to work on that passing game.  Throw in all the holding penalties and 15 yard stupid penalties and now you somehow have a sort of close game.  PNG will not beat themselves, so I’ll take the Indians 35-17.  I still think Huntsville will be good enough to finish 2nd in the District.

Huntsville physically can push PNG a bit....RB Brown and QB Adolphe are outstanding, but consistency is still an issue with them IMO, the two really good teams they've played...they've lost...so I'm not sure Huntsville is on that elite level right now....

Ehhh...I think against elite teams they'll struggle to stop people....a little undersized and not super fast IMO...if they are gonna win in December I think they'll need to outscore people

He took a beating in that game. His mom was at the bottom of the bleachers hollering for Faircloth to take him out of the game. Huntsville went to state that behind a nasty defense. UT ex Sweat was on that team and he hit Shug hard multiple times. Sweat looked like a man amongst boys out there. After that game I made the comment Sweat may be the best high school defensive player I'd ever seen. Chris Reed from SFA was the best until I seen Sweat. Reed was a big ol boy who could run just like Sweat.

Huntsville made it to the 4th round that year, just barely losing to a very big, very fast Fort Bend Marshall team.

Incredible game at Cy Fair.  Devon Achane!!!  Hornets had them but a 4th and 12 trick play went for a TD for the game winner.  Coach Southerns son was the Huntsville QB.  Huntsville definitely could have won State that year.

With all of Huntsville's talent, I do not see us running away with the game. We have to play mistake free football. Could be a tight game. How is Huntville's pass D?

If Bailey and his receivers are on the same page like the last 2 games, not good enough. IMHO, if Bailey has time to throw, he's going to pick pretty much anyone apart this year. He's really playing lights out ball right now.

Huntsville pass D is overall pretty good but they have definitely given up a few big plays.  
Last year this game was considered a toss-up, but this year, not so much.  PNG has widened the gap from the rest of the District.

On paper, PNG's the better team and I think we'll prove it on the field. But, this is a dangerous game against a dangerous team. Huntsville's better than their record. They're faster than anyone PNG's played all season. La Porte tried to run right through us. Huntsville gets most of their yards around the edge. They're really, really quick doing it. They have four or five guys who've hit 20 mph in practice. I'm confident in our run defense, but this is a different challenge than La Porte. Not saying Huntsville's better than La Porte (Sean Simon just singlehandedly beat Kingwood Park) -- But, it's a different speed and a different approach. If we don't handle it, the Hornets are going to punish us. 

We'll move the ball. I'm not impressed with the Huntsville secondary, and the tackling hasn't been up to the Coach Southern standard. It's going to come down to the defenses, and turnovers. 

I'm going to go with PNG 35-24.
