What is everyone thinking about the upcoming football season? WOS seems to be a solid pick to finally get back to a District Championship. Silsbee is hard to count out. Will HF reload? Will Jasper rebound after taking a drop back in 2024? Can Shepherd pick off one of the top 4? Does Tarkington have a chance to be competitive?

I got it going this way:

1. WO-S

2. Silsbee

3. HF

4. Jasper

5. Shepherd

6. Tarkington

A couple of DCTF guys has Silsbee winning district and being a regional favorite.

What would the biggest question mark be for Silsbee? I know they don’t have a void like they faced last year with Miller leaving.

RB and DB

I think the QB replacement will be very good. Will bring a more run threat than in the past few years which will help not having a solid RB. Oline will be the strength. Got enough speed and talent to shore up the receiving corp.

Defensive line and LB's will be very good, particularly up the middle. NG and inside backers are very good. Secondary will need some help. Will be very young. Johnson, who will be the QB, may be asked to play safety some to help out. If Silsbee can get a consistent pass rush, that will help out the secondary.

Key losses from this past season: Farr (RB, LB), Miller (WR, DB), Gaines (RB, DB) and Moshier (QB). Those will be hard to replace. Moshier ended up being Silsbee's all time leader in passing yards, completions, passing TD's and completion percentage. He also had 12 rushing TD's last year. Lot's of production last year from those four that will have to be accounted for.

One things for certain, Tigers have one of the best coaching staffs in the district.

Silsbee will be Running back by committee but I do believe someone will stand out by week 5. Johnson could have a phenomenal season inside and outside the pocket. Having full time at QB, you will see how talented he is. Silsbee lost alot but Silsbee also had a bunch of sophomore, juniors, and few freshman on varsity. I think JV and freshman were pretty good last year as well.

Silsbee has a kid that wore #21 at RB last year. He was a freshman. He had some good quickness as he hit the line. He was rather small and im sure he may have put on a few pounds since last season. I dont know his name. Last name may have been Johnson?

It appears that Silsbee and Shepherd have the most returning starters in the district.

I'm excited about the video score board, but it does look small from the road and it would have been nice to have a new middle school and turf on the softball and baseball fields.

Yes sir, i voted yes on the bond. Score board wise i could care less about Jumbotron. They don't help win ball games and cant help you practice. It would be nice have an indoor facility also.  But i would take a new  middle school first over a indoor facility.

WO-S will have the second best coaching staff then.

It was paid for by donation  I'm told, and they hope it will generate some money by selling adds.
