Of course I'm picking Wilson (Port Arthur Memorial) for Offense. Wouldn't be surprised if Miller (Silsbee) won though.

For defense: I lean towards Smith (Jasper) but wouldn't be surprised if Williams (Silsbee) won it.

of course I would like for TyAnthony to win it.

Them Foster's in Newton have a pretty good history when it comes to awards though(well deserved by all means).

Going by the stats (which the majority of the voters do) Williams blew Smith out of the water.

I would say that both Silsbee players are the favorites but I have seen over the years some strange voting.

All are very worthy of the award. Foster won it last year.

We will see on April 24

TyAnthony didn't play the 1st three games of the season and Jasper played fewer games than Silsbee. So of course his numbers should be higher.

People want to pick a player from there own team. Our QB threw 50 times and completed 2 passes but one was to the other team but he should win.
Hopefully the best deserving person will win this award. I think the committee has done a good job in the past and will be fair in selecting the best for each position.

Defensive statistical category leaders on a per-game basis are in bold.

Williams is my choice for winner because backfield disruption is how a defense impacts the game the most imo.

Smith: 14.75 total tackles/game; 9.5 solo tackles/game; 1.25 TFL/game; 0.25 sacks/game

Williams: 13.93 total tackles/game; 9.43 solo tackles/game; 2.79 TFL/game; 0.72 sacks/game

Foster: 10 total tackles/game; 6.79 solo tackles/game; 1.29 TFL/game; 0.22 sacks/game

DeRanieri: 11.93 total tackles/game; 7.85 solo tackles/game; 1.23 TFL/game; 0.39 sacks/game

Newton played 14 and HF 13. Had TyAnthony played just the full schedule of regular season he would have had 150+ tackles easy.

24 DI offers.

what's Williams offer count? I know it's not a factor in who wins Wiilie Ray award. I am just curious.

Miller has 40 offer all from Major D1 schools Bama, Texas, Georgia, USC, Ohio St, TCU, A&M etc.... He is the best football player in SETX right now hands down.

    • No chance in hell that this pos is found guilty.
    • After his silly conviction, President Trump has raised over 200 Million dollars!  The people are seeing through it!  Excellent!
    • Let’s see if joe biden’s words about no one is above the law, made after the rigged trial of President Trump, rings true with his po💩son.  Hopefully, but I’m not going to hold my breath, they put the sorry sob in prison.
    • I liked his no bull crap attitude. He was a man of very few words. Extremely strong and freaky athletic!!! As close as possible to being the best offensive lineman to ever play the game. I hope his family finds peace without him!!! RIP #73
    • Chester, a small town in NE Tyler County.  A town that is seeing growth with the addition of a national chain store and a new school being built.  If you travel 287 toward Dallas from the Golden Triangle you have probably passed through Chester.  Things tend to stay pretty consistent and it is your typical small town.   A trip to state is the buzz around town, and the talk before church services begin on Sunday.  This year’s graduating class will number 11.  We don’t have a radio station that covers the Yellowjackets.  We are never a lead story on any of the news stations that broadcast to our community. With all that said, there is a closeness and sense of pride in our community.  Every community rallies behind their kids as they progress into the playoffs.  We are proud of our boys as they have represented our community well and with class. We invite you to follow our boys as they go to state.  We welcome the greater SETX communities as honorary Yellowjackets.  Tune in, watch live or come to Round Rock personally and join us in supporting the Chester Yellowjackets.  Go ‘Jackets!!! ⚾️💜💛⚾️🟣🟡⚾️💜💛⚾️
