Election Results And Thoughts Here!

If the Senate does go 50-50, one good thing in our favor is that JoeBama and Shumer pissed off Manchin this past year.  First, they promised Manchin if he'd vote for a massive spending bill then they would give him something in return.  I think it may have had something to do with a pipeline?  Not sure.  Anyway, they later told him, uh, no, not gonna happen.  Then JoeBama really pissed Mancin off when he said he's gonna stop all coal production.  Coal is big in Manchin's State.  Hopefully the Dems won't be able to count on anything from him!  This plus the Republicans controlling the House will keep in check a lot of this crazy spending.

BTW, what's going to be ironic, is that House gains by Republicans in New York and California is what is going to give the House to the Republicans.

My bad. He campaigned but it was unofficial. I didn't know he ran in 2000

Trump has been a presidential candidate three times, in 2000, 2016, and 2020; he also "unofficially" campaigned in 2012 and mulled a run in 2004.

Manchin should switch sides.  Not sure if that is allowed in the middle of a term.  If I’m not mistaken, Joe Lieberman changed from an Independent to a Dim.  Just don’t remember the circumstances.

Walker illiterate?  Quick question, if Walker is illiterate what does that make Biden?  Maxine Waters?  Fetterman?  Katie Hobbs?  Kamala Harris?  I could describe each of them with derogatory terms - Senile - loud mouth bully - half wit - illiterate- completely over her head.  Yep, that’s a collection of useless politicians that fit the Peter Principle to a Tee!

It won't happen if Trump is the candidate.

At least we agree on something.  You know full well if anybody other than Trump is on the ballot, you Dimwits have no chance.  Let’s hope this is the case so we can get someone in charge that has a clue.  You will never admit it, but we are in far worse shape as a country with this idiot, that you helped elect, in charge.

I’m not disagreeing with you about Trump not being the best candidate for Republicans in 2024.  Not sure if you understood that.  By posting this link, I question your comprehension skills.

I’ve posted lots of video from Candace Owens discussing race in this country. No comment ever from Big Girl, but just as soon as Trump has a tiff with her…..BAM!!!!!! she posts the article because she is now somehow her friend.

A few weeks ago, over 300 million lottery tickets where sold in 4 days. Within hours of the drawing, lottery officials knew how many winning tickets were sold and where the winning tickets were sold, down to the specific store locations. 4 days after voting has closed, some voting officials don't know how many people voted, how they voted, who they voted for, or what the accurate results are.

The US election system is broken on purpose.

Nope, I think she is full of it. Why is she turning on him now?

    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!

    • Come on dude, don’t take anything away from the kids on the field. If you want to talk uncharacteristic, we made what 3 or 4 errors in game one. Y’all had 2 EARNED runs.  Defense is normally our strong suit. Your ace didn’t strike out a single one of our kids. Like I said also, you did not out hit us in game 1. Hell you barley out hit us in game 2. We had all the uncharacteristic walks. Josh pitched a hell of a game is what made that game what it was.
