Swept under the rug?

What's the deal?  I thought we would have some answers about the friday meeting today.  If it was any other team but Dayton invoved I bet we would have some answers.  Call it what you will, but, I bet if it was one of the "golden triangle" teams people would be losing their minds trying to find out what happened.

I understand nothing will change.  I want to know if something was changed on friday.  I think that is a valid question.  I have a question for you PNGproud what if this happened to the indians, you wouldn't want some information?

I have said it before on here and I posted the answer more than two weeks ago before this ever came up. They way they did it this year is the same way that 22-4A has done it in the past. There was nothing underhanded. This district uses head-to-head where possible to determine the placing.

There were two teams tied for the Division II playoff spots, Lumberton and Dayton. Lumberton won their meeting, so they go as the #1 team in Div II. What is so hard to understand about that? This isn't rocket science.

Objectively, I see the points system to be overall superior to the head-to-head system. I don't think the H&H system accurately solves the issues. That's just my opinion though.

The question was if there was a meeting on friday.  I'll direct this to you, if this was Ned that this happened to you wouldn't be curious?  No one will answer that.

It did happen to Nederland about 6 years ago but Nederland was in Lumberton's shoes. Nederland went as the playoff representative and WO-S (I think) stayed home due to Nederland winning head-to-head. Had it been by points, Nederland would have stayed home.

Nope, WO-S stayed home because they were third in the point spread tiebreaker to Nederland and Central.

There is more to this story.  I want to know why they called a meeting on friday.  If everything was so clear, then what was the purpose?  You aren't curious?  It's Ok to admit it.

WO-S stayed home three years in a row, I think at 8-2. I am not sure which year it was.

What was cold about that was WOS was actually the best team in the District toward the end of the season.  >:(

That was a tough district for sure back then. WO-S was the fourth place team in the district and probably could have beaten most 4A teams in the playoffs.

It's ashame the only media reporting on this are the Liberty radio station and the Baytown Sun.  Both of those reports still lack the question to why the Friday meeting was called.  Don't know why, it is just bugging me.

I was totally content on Dayton being the 2nd seed with the scenario tvc was tellling, but then why did they call the meeting?

Something just doesn't seem right about this whole scenario.

The good thing is that ALL the teams involved are playing this week and no one was left out of the playoffs due to a last minute change?

That's kinda what my thoughts are on this whole situation.  It's not like the alleged meeting kept anyone out of the post season.

What is the big secret?  If everything is so legit, then why don't we have an answer?  I cannot believe that there isn't something fishy about the whole thing.  But you get blasted on this board if you wonder I guess.

I thought there had to be a meeting at some point to name the playoff representatives. If you didn't, you would have two schools claiming to be the Div II first place rep. You have to get together and say this is the tie breaker.

If Lumberton had just ended the game with Nederland and started making calls to arrange their Div II first place finish, would Dayton have had anything to say about it or would they want a meeting to find out who and why the places were given? No matter what happens in a tie breaker, there has to be some kind of meeting no matter who gets it.
