If they wouldn't have called it when the did it was about to be 21- 20 Silsbee..! And everyone that was watching the game knows it.

Nobody knows anything. Silsbee could fumble and Jasper score off if it. It’s football buddy. Like JasperDAWG said. The only thing we know is what the score was when they called it. It is what it is.

not the officials decision.

all they can do is suspend the game.

the conference will decided what to do after that.

majority of the time since it is not a district game they call it a GAME and move on.

Suspending the Game ARTICLE 3. a. The referee may suspend the game temporarily when conditions warrant such action. b. When the game is stopped by actions of a person(s) not subject to the rules or for any other reasons not in the rules and cannot continue, the referee shall: 1. Suspend play and direct the players to their team areas. 2. Refer the problem to those responsible for the game’s management. 3. Resume the game when he determines conditions are satisfactory. c. If a game is suspended under Rules 3-3-3-a and b before the end of the fourth period and cannot be resumed, there are four possible options: 1. Resume the game at a later date; 2. Terminate the game with a determined final score; 3. Forfeit of the game; or 4. Declare a no contest. The option that takes effect shall be determined by conference policy if both institutions are members of the same conference. In non-conference competition, the directors of athletics at the participating institutions or their designees, in consultation with the coaches, must agree on one of the four options. This agreement will include the final score if the game is terminated (Rule 8-1-2). d. If a game is suspended under Rules 3-3-3-a and b after four periods of play and cannot be resumed, the game shall be ruled a tie. The final score shall be the score at the end of the last completed period. (Note: If a winner must be determined in a conference playoff game, conference policy shall determine when and where the game will be resumed.) e. A suspended game, if resumed, will begin with the same time remaining and under the identical conditions of down, distance, field position and player eligibility.

i heard the silsbee coach cried and complained so jasper coach agreed to a no contest.  SMH. no stats for the players from this game oh sorry i mean no contest..... lol

You can’t determine a winner and 2 full quarters haven’t been played. NCAA rules reference a suspension or and 4 quarters have been played.  There are options 1-4. Which both sides agreed on option 4. Which is the more realistic.

We all need to grow up and quit speculating about what would have happened had the game been allowed to continue. Nobody knows any of that because it didn't happen. Silsbee deserves respect because they took our shot early and figured out how to get back in the game. Jasper is going to give opponents fits if they can play a little smarter and limit turnovers. Both of these teams are going to win a lot of games this year. Hopefully, we'll see you guys in November.

So you’re saying Jasper would have won?

thing bout it is.....20>14  isn't hypothetical. 😁 straight from the scoreboard.  ya know it's like when the temp is 95 outside and it says "feels like 104". the hell with that if it feels like 104 THEN IT IS 104!  it is what it is.

Who cares!! It didn't count now. Jasper was up in the scrimmage.

nice story.

Story? That's exactly what happened. I'm a West Brook fan. We just went to get our football fix. I couldn't care any less who would win. Jasper jumped out on Silsbee. But Silsbee had regained complete control of the game.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda.   All speculation.  Doubt either Coach would want a win under these circumstances (which is more speculation on my part, lol).   Call it a great scrimmage.   Both teams got some great experience and work out of it.

After all the 🐂💩 this year, just great to see the kids be able to play - complete game or not.   Good luck to both going forward.

There were lots of twist and turns left in that game.  From the sampling I saw it could have been 10 points either way by the end.  Jasper has to develop the passing attack and hold on to the ball.

Silsbee had some missed tackles but showed some grit by turning the game around.

I am just thankful we are actually talking about football.

Can't you see I'm easily bothered by persistence
One step from lashing out at you
You want in, to get under my skin and call yourself a friend
I've got more friends like you, what do I do?
Is there no standard anymore?
What it takes, who I am, where I've been belong
You can't be something you're not
Be yourself, by yourself, stay away from me
A lesson learned in life
Known from the dawn of time
Respect, walk, what did you say?
Respect, walk
Are you talkin' to me? Are you talkin' to me?
Run your mouth when I'm not around, it's easy to achieve
You cry to weak friends that sympathize
Can you hear the violins playing your song?
Those same friends tell me your every word
Is there no standard anymore?
What it takes, who I am, where I've been belong
You can't be something you're not
Be yourself, by yourself, stay away from me
A lesson learned in life
Known from the dawn of time
Respect, walk, what did you say?
Respect, walk, are you talkin' to me?
Respect, walk, what did you say?
Respect, walk
Are you talkin' to me? Are you talkin' to me?
No way, punk
Respect, walk, what did you say?
Respect, walk, are you talkin' to me?
Respect, walk, what did you say?
Respect, walk
Are you talkin' to me? Are you talkin' to me?
Walk on home, boy

Only problem they won’t see each other unless Jasper gets 4th or 1st and Silsbee gets 4th or 1st cuz Carthage is here to wreck Region 3 😞

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
