Going to be tough to field a team consistently with an enrollment of 71. Half of that is female so basically 35 potential players (9-12) to have for an 11 man football team. Got to think that number is more like 18-20 potential players.

It really wasn't about accepting a challenge. The travel they were enduring to stay 6 man was just too much for the school district to handle. Way too costly.

Had there been a more local 6 man district for them to play in, High Island would have gladly stayed 6 man.
