Kj Dad
Bellvile Scouting Report. OFFENSE Runs the Slot T/Wings T with the help of 2 RB's #23 & 24 both over 1000yds. #23 is the speed back and #24 is the power back. O- line have good size and does a great job of getting off blocks and getting to the 2nd Level. #3 QB doesn't run much he like to give the ball to the RBs. Bellville does threw out the slot t/wing t more then what I've seen out of teams that runs the slot t/wing t. DEFENSEBellville does a lot of different things and run multiple sets on defense. During pre-snap alignment the d-line does a lot of movement to try to make the O-Line jump. #9 the MLB walks to the line and clap his hand and all the movement starts to take place. D-Line does a great job of firing off the football and have good size. LB #9 looks to be the stud and leader of the D. CB plays about 8-10yards off the ball and likes to keep everything in front of them and does a great job of tackleing. Bellville runs a lot of Cover 2 & 3, but they do run man some. Its like a chess match with Bellville. reason I'm saying that is that they blitz when they feel as if its a run. Bellville defense is very discipline.Bellville isn't athletic as WOS and WOS overall speed will give them fits on both sides of the ball. We all know how WOS farwells against slot t/ wing t teams. WOS O line is going to have to be discipline and don't jump while Bellville does all its movement during there are presnap alignment. JD3 will have to read the defense and maket he right reads. If he's does that, THE PYP CREW going to have a field day. He will be able to play pitch and catch with them. If the Chain Gang Plays LIGHTS OUT like the past month, and force Bellville to punt on the regular while the offense putting up points WOS WINS by 21+Note:This game will be won in the trenches. If the O line continues to play like they been playing, opening holes for the RBs and protecting JD3 its gonna be a long sad ride home for Bellville. The West Orange-Stark Mustangs have stampeded through the first three rounds of the playoffs. Coach Cornel Thompson assesses the Mustangs physically and mentally on their run to a possible championship berth. Thompson indicates there were a few bumps and bruises coming out of the 69-13 win over Caldwell, however, everybody was able to practice this week. Mentally though the Mustangs came out of the game a little confused according to Thompson. The coach admits they had a bad day of practice on Monday since many of the players who have not been through the long road to a championship think the playoffs are easy after the third consecutive lopsided victory by West Orange-Stark which leaves it in the elite eight. Thompson joked there are no ugly girls invited to the dance at this stage and everybody left can play. Thompson wants the players mentally ready to battle because they are under the mistaken belief that the playoffs are real easy, and they’re not.The Mustangs’ quarterfinal opponents are the Bellville Brahmas. Coach Thompson says they run an old school offense. The Brahmas use the Slot T which was the offense of choice for most of West Orange-Stark’s district opponents this season. Fullback Mac Briscoe is the primary ball carrier for Bellville. Thompson states the Mustangs will have to handle Briscoe and know where he is on the field at all times. The Brahmas have a few wrinkles in their Slot T that the Mustangs must be ready for according to Thompson. Bellville runs the ball very well, but unlike most Slot T offenses they will throw the football. Thompson indicates they throw the ball more than all the other five or six Slot T teams West Orange-Stark has faced this year combined. The Brahmas’ play action passes are a major concern for Thompson at this time.On defense Bellville is very athletic as Coach Thompson gives the details. They play an even front in the 4-3 basically, but will shift into a 50 look at times. Briscoe plays strong side linebacker for the Brahmas on defense. Their bell cow is the middle linebacker a three-year starter Dylan Jackson. Thompson emphasizes they are very athletic on the defensive side of the ball with one of the better force units the Mustangs have faced. The coach thinks Bellville’s athleticism, pursuit, and running to the ball could pose some problems for the Mustangs especially in their running game. Both teams are riding impressive winning streaks coming into Friday night’s game with the Mustangs having won 8 straight and the Brahmas on a 10-game roll. Thompson states only the teams playing well are still standing. Coach Thompson says teams have to be peaking at this time of the year or they will not be playing next week. He adds the teams still alive for a championship have for the most part avoided the injury bug. West Orange-Stark has been very fortunate to have not had any season ending injuries for its personnel. Bellville actually had some injuries early, Thompson reports, but the Brahmas reshuffled the deck and moved some players around which resulted in their current winning run. Thompson observes they are a pretty good football team.- See more at: This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up
