there are several teams in this area who wear illegal uniforms.

I'm curious where the team came up with the money to buy 12-15 special order jerseys. I know when I was in school we were lucky to get new jerseys every few years.

As for the issue itself, I feel bad for them, but it's also up to administrators and coaches to know the rules.

The schools do not buy them. Teams with actively involved booster clubs have no problems raising funds to purchase additional uniforms. It all depends on what you elect to spend your money on.

 

Not sure what constitutes as "Illegal" in this matter.

sounds like the colors make it illegal.

Evidently they only had approval to wear the Pink Out uniforms in October. If there are rules in place, silly or not, just follow them.

Basketball isn't played in October though. It's usually a late January early febuary thing in college basketball because that is when Kay Yow passed. I've seen it be done in high school before though. Shotty rule and even worse handling of the situation by the board.

i bet they don't do it again. heck i bet no one else does it either.

Its pretty stupid to take a win away from the better team because of uniforms. Did the colors on these uniforms make them better or give them somw sort of unfair advantage?
However, if there's a rule there the coach should have followed it.

I would imagine that they now are allowed to since the higher ups now know. But I bet you are right. No use in bringing them out.
