Jerry Rice visits Houston high school with worst loosing record in Texas

I thought this was a class act by Jerry Rice. This school has not won in 5 years. He was there because of something to do with Lysol, but jumped in and started to help with practice. Even made one kid do push-ups.

They haven't won a game in 5 years, and may not win a game this year, but they are in the playoffs due to the fact that they are in a 4 team district.  Cool story about Jerry Rice though.

One thing in the article that blind sided me was that Jones High School no longer has an athletics program. What? The same Jones High School that (along with WO-S) gave Houston Yates their only tough challenge the entire season of the 1985 championship run? Times have changed. Wow.
