Toss right
What's everyone's opinion on this? My team is very run heavy. This help or hurt us?
Ty Cobb
I like the change. The clock will set as soon as a play is over. No more watching ref's stand over the ball waiting to set the clock. The ball will be put in play very quickly. BellBiz30 and Mr. Buddy Garrity
badndn
I see major, major issues on the horizon! Just watching some of the officiating crews around, this could get ugly. If it ain't set quickly coaches with uptempo offenses are going to go bizerk.

So your saying the old way where the ref would take his time starting the play is better for uptempo teams???Am I misreading your post? badndn
What I'm saying is the old way it was acceptable because that time wasn't "Their Time" since the play clock wasn't running. Sure they wanted it set and the clock rolling quickly, but now it's running and they could feasibly snap it at 35 seconds, at least in their mind, so any slow walking the spot will be more scrutinized. I just see a lot of local HS officials having trouble adjusting and we all know coaches will be on their asses for it, which will lead to poor spots and other issues.
