Lumberton is not without talent and a decent coach should at least pull off mediocrity...i don't really think the powers to be in Lumberton expect anything different because that is really what they hired. I am not bashing anybody here just stating the obvious. LH is a good coach and was able be a middle of the road guy for the most part in Lumberton back in the day. i mean this is like pulling the old security blanket out to ward off the terrible boogieman "dismal record of performance". Nothing against LH...just thought Lumberton missed an opportunity to bring a fresh new bold look to the program followed up by results. Seems powers to be where afraid to step out and take a chance...it could not get any worse from a football standpoint, but instead they took the road already traveled that was pretty well mapped. I know alot of the kids in lumberton and I hope they have tremendous success under their new AD and Head Football Coach...I wish the Raiders Luck and I hope I am wrong.

I thought Haynes was successful the last time he was the L-Train Conductor and left for a more prosperous job??

Lumberton has won just 35% of their games all-time. In 46 years of football Lumberton has went 0-10 or worse 6 times. Lumberton has only had 8 winning seasons in 46 years. 2010, 2007-2008, 94-95, 90-91, 69. Heck we might as well talk about Hardin or West Hardin. lol. Fact of the matter is... Haynes doesn't have to do much to change the culture and be a winner in Lumberton. History says the talent is not there and the district they play in is to much for them. Just saying. Out of the teams listed with new Coaches, Lumberton has the weakest history of success. I wish the Raiders the best, but it is gonna be tough.

It is definitely going to be a tough challenge that's for sure. I bet it's a challenge most coaches wouldn't even want to take on. wish him the best but when he won there before they were 3A, even though his track record is great I gotta say that it will be hard.

FIRST I DID NOT SAY HE WAS A BAD COACH, DID NOT SAY HE DOES NOT LOVE KIDS, DID NOT SAY HE WAS NOT ABOUT DISCIPLINE, DID NOT SAY HE WAS NOT A GOOD ROLL MODEL AND HELP IN MAKING GOOD YOUNG MEN...NO WHERE IN MY STATEMENT DID I SAY ANYTHING REMOTELY LIKE THAT! SO IDIOT...NO! DIFFERENCE OF OPINION...YES! I MADE A SUBJECTIVE STATEMENT AND AT THE END MADE THAT CLEAR...IT WAS NOT THE EMOTIONAL STATEMENT YOU MADE. MAYBE YOU SHOULD NOT ONLY READ BUT COMPREHEND AND THEN FORM A LEGITIMATE AND EDUCATED RESPONSE...ONCE AGAIN THIS STATEMENT WAS NOT INTENDED TO BASH ANYONE JUST STATING THE FACTS  AND GIVING A REBUTTAL TO BEING CALLED AN IDIOT. Riiggghhhhtttt....

I was sarcastically responding like poster "JG1934".  He said something similar to me earlier in the thread.  Might want to rethink who needs that reading and comprehention lesson.

Btw, BigDog says to quit yelling.  Betta quit.

ok...I guess whatever you were referring to was not highlighted in the in the quoted text so I really don't know whats up...I can appreciate sarcasm, but I cant read minds...sorry if it was mis taken or taken out of context. but just for the proverbial record I did read and did comprehend...I must have just missed the bubble caption floating overhead that would be responsible for clueing me into the sarcasm...LOL! (PS...I did not mean to yell, just meant to speak in a tone or manor to be understood with clarity)

Yep he meant to yell .... hahahahah
I'm just hoping lumberton is not returning to FULLER Football...... For lumberton fans that don't remember it was a sick sight!!
What is Fuller football? I played against Lumberton while they had Fuller and they did not have a bad team. There defense lacked but they could spread the ball around the field.
I remember him now, he had Eckert at QB who broke a state record in 2001, they almost made the playoffs i believe while he was there, had to win their last game to make it if im not mistaken.
