  1. What the heck is going on in Austin?!?
Banks now....I remember him at A&M bringing in some talent

Big time hires, but idk my gut is telling me it won’t work lol. Maybe because of the past seasons in Texas they just seem to underachieve

but can’t fault Sark for trying.

I think everyone knew/knows how good BU is. I think the hard pill to swallow is admitting Nederland was overhyped. They graduated 9 kids or something last year, one playing at A&M (playing solid minutes) this year. They lost all of their speed and ball handlers. They have a player in Jackson and a streaky shooter in Gipson. And then a bunch of average players. Probably finish 3-4 place in district. BU is talented and will make a run at the title but glaring point from this game is Ned being exposed as average team. Nice wins over WB and an odd game for HJ, that’s about it.

Maybe is not that they’re avg, but BU is just that good. Nederland may actually be solid they just ran into a better team...

Not only do they have a head coach that was fired for being drunk on the job, they have also added

A DL coach that received a 2 year show cause penalty for recruiting violations

An OL coach that was fined $50k and suspended 3 games for contacting a players professor about his grades

What other upstanding citizens will they add next?

    Texas said F*** it...By any means...lol

aside from there past endeavors these are very impressive hires...Good for Sark

  4. Soooo Sark is going after LSU DB coach Raymond....I’d be very surprised if he leaves LSU but I think this is good news for Texas..It shows the administration gave him the green light to go after anyone he wants, money no option...Hopefully that means they’re backing him 100% and the alumni fall in line..They’re the reason this job is so toxic

    Flood (Oline)

    Wiggins (WR)

    “Bo” (D-Line)

    Already are Really good hires

keeping Drayton (RB) was big to

He actually beat a Perkins led team when he was at Vidor.  May have beat them twice that year.  Scouts were at game to watch Perkins at their own little table at Ozen.  Vidor lit it up from the 3.  Fact.

Perkins lost once in HS and it wasn’t to Vidor. It was to Chris Bosh in the state championship

All this has been discussed, but Wheatley, like a lot of schools  is a victim of the new way to build basketball programs. Back in the day, in the 60s & 70s, all the homegrown b-ball talent stayed in 5th ward or in Kashmere gardens.  Those areas were locked in by bad roads, slow mass transit, etc. Save the rest for MLK weekend or the month of February.  Now, all kinds of good roads are being built.  Then you got AAU spies & pimps, the internet, twitter, What's app, mass transit trains and buses to take a ball player anywhere in Houston.  All the genes have moved to Northshore, Cypress, FB Brazoria counties..  You get the picture.  I was talking to a young man not long ago.  He said he played football for Northshore.  I asked if he lived out that way.  He said he has always lived in Kashmere Gardens.   NS is 20 miles away.  They're not the only ones, not by a long shot. So, whatever kind of team Wheatley can put on the court is almost a miracle.

This is definitely true. Another Area that does this is Katy. It’s been known Katy goes to get its athletes from Fort Bend ISD area. I Personally know Donovonn Young from that 10 Katy team and take a guess where he’s from??

I don’t think it’ll happen.  They haven’t played any too 5 teams.  Ranked, but not too 5 ranked. I think had they played in tough tournaments, then you can say that.  Corona ended that...

5 or 25?? If what I seen was correct they were at #31 nationally a the beginning of the week...so that’s why I said too 25

    top 5 nah I don’t see that happening..l

When Yates dropped down a conference they were serving up the same dish. I was over here in Houston listening to Yates fanatics talking that noise: "JY is gonna when every game, they will win state every year."  Tbh they have won more than they have lost.  They have won the lion's share (no pun intended) of rings, but they haven't won all of them.  BU's legacy won't be built on dominating the smaller schools in the golden triangle.  It will be built on how they handle conference competition, year in and year out.  Back when PA Lincoln was around their reputation was not built on how they dominated the greater Beaumont area.  It was built on marching thru the playoffs and bringing home state trophies.  Year in and year out, that is not easy to do.

With both Ozen or Central reaching the state tourney in recent history United should be a power house for years to come unless something crazy happens, with Rings and championships being involved

  9. Alabama is a thorn in every Schools side...I know LSU probably thought they had Sospher in the bag , for him to leave LSU and go to Bama has to hurt

but like I said earlier, I just think signing 23 300 players, you’ll have a lot of Transfers Starting next year. Kids arent mentally tough anymore, and want to be on the field
