What is amazing is year end year out, whether it is a scrimmage or a real game; everyone gauges their team when they play WOS. A tribute to how good, how respected, and the long running tradition of WOS being the team everyone wants to beat.

You have accomplished alot in your work, for many of kids who felt you, and who you are there for. You know I am proud of all your accomplishments and educational goals you mastered. To offend brings a stain to all you are, because it;s not who you are. All problems you hear aren't meant to be spoken on, rather you know what's true or not. I know you will follow this board going home, but being right starts with being right within self. Love to brother to brother. Please no one respond!

EL GUAPO he whom wants or need to know the truth, bandwagon no fanwagon yes. I went to Lincoln High and enjoyed playing or watching Nederland then. They always seemed to be a team well coached and disciplined. Now since my school is closed I follow all schools really, it's just makes the season more exciting talking smack. When playoff comes tho I am a BULLDOG, TITAN, INDIAN, PANTHER, JAGUAR, BRUIN, PIRATE, BRONCO, I know I don't suppose to use this many commas but was proving a point. Now i been in Nederland for almost 20 years, and 3 out of my 5 kids are from Nederland.

Nederland beat Klein Collins in the championship 11-3. Madyson Guidry pitched for Nederland. They went 5-0 (pitchers Madyson Guidry against Splendora, Dayton & Klein Collins, Tori Cooper against Caney Creek & Jessica Saenz against South Houston) and outscored opponents 45-7 on 37 hits. Four home runs - (1) 2 run shot from Kelsey Beard (senior), (1) 2 run shot from Bailey Beard (freshman), (1) grand slam from Hannah Smith (freshman) and (1) 3 run home run by Madelyn Daniels (freshman). Combined pitching ERA was .67 with only 2 ER. Everyone produced at the plate and defense looked great.

In that case, SHAME ON YOU COACH!!!! I really hope they find someone to bring Ozen that will stick around and develop a tradition of excellence. The kids deserve that. They should contend for the district title every year!!

Has nothing to do with the district here in this situation. It's all on the ex coach here, trust me.... And its pathetic how it all went down. -

Which program do I consider more successful? Easy, Nederland. Always said put the Nederland coaching staff in front of an Ozen team who had 10 D1 players on it and Ozen wins state. People just can't grasp just how good our coaching staff makes our players. We don't have 10 D1 players at Nederland but the boys play team ball. They play for each other not for themselves to get a college chance. So I consider Nederland more successful.

1. Take care of your academics. (They give scholarships for grades too.)
2. Contact as many coaches as you can. If you really want to play, you'll do the leg work.
3. Don't believe everything a college coach tells you. Most are egotistical BS artists. If you do get an athletic scholarship, it's only good for one year. No matter how hard you work, your career is in their hands.
4. Talk to your school counselor. Find out about the schools, not the football programs.
5. Have a Plan B. The college coaches I have dealt with could care less about your son. It's a business.

I agree with some of these points. The parents should and should want to help get their kids names out there for more exposure. Camps would be nice but can everyone afford them? High school coaches should also be putting names out there as well. Its great for the parents to make highlights and send them out. At-least it wont hurt.

Honestly though that's a shame if these kids aren't getting access from colleges. I will say this about the recruiting coordinator at Crosby, he works his butt off trying to get these kids to the next level. The kids are buying in and working a lot harder than in years past with this coaching staff. -

I knew a coach at WF Hirschi who couldnt coach a lick and his teams sucked but he got 4+ kids each year to a college cause he used his connections.

Hopkins doesn't want to play anymore. Last I heard was he wanted to follow in his brothers foot steps and sign up for the Navy.

Really disappointed in you Aggiesweare. This sight has always been great. But you sound almost arrogant in your response. Kinda turns my stomach. I have been on this sight for YEARS and have really enjoyed reading about my nephew on the soccer forum. I always looked at it. what does it hurt to put up a few more options? Hate to say it but if this is the attitude of the ownership I wont be donating to this sight anymore.
