  1. It would be a big mistake to trade him now. He still has some of the best stuff, and the Astros have invested too much in him to give up now. I look for him to get right and be better than he was before last year.
  2. He definitely has the stuff. He will straighten up and be dominate again, hopefully sooner than later.
  3. It's all mental for him. I actually expect him to pitch better on the road then at home. This might only make the problem worse for him. They can't trade him now, no one will give them enough for him.
  4. Lidge still has just as good of stuff as he has ever had. He has lost his confidence. The pitch that Nady hit for the homerun was actually a good pitch at the bottom of the zone, he just jumped on it. Whether he is tipping his pitches again, I still think it's too early to tell. Nady is in the majors for a reason. He knew from what Lidge did to the first 2 batters in the inning that he had one chance and that was to start early and try to hit it in the boxes. I totally understand Astro fans being disappointed but I am disappointed that they would boo our own player. Especially one that is lacking his confidence. There is no good that will come of it. Leave the booing your own players to the fans of that team in NY.
  5. Base running errors cost them tonight. Yes, Lidge giving up the homerun hurt but with another run and they would have won anyway.
  6. Sampson is slated as the 5th starter. He will not get a start until the 11th. They sent Albers down.
  7. After Zambrano saying that he was going to win the Cy Young, I sure hope he does not.
  8. Let's see Cardinals and Gators, hmmm I guess you are a Colts and Heat fan too. There might be a pattern there. It's easy to say that you are a fan of a team after they have won the championship the year before.
  9. I had hopes that he would come through this spring but that just didn't happen. He had to be released 6 for 44 just doesn't cut it when you are a veteran trying to make a come back.
  10. He should be disciplined just like a player would, whatever that might be. He seems to be a stand up person and I am sure that he will not put himself above the rules of the team. Oh, and I strongly dislike the Cubs!
  11. The ball wasn't out of bounds until it touched the table, I would think at least 1 sec should have ran off. It was a close game that the Aggs should have won.
  12. Vidor & St Louis aren't playing tonight at least not in Vidor, there wasn't anyone at the stadium.
  13. You can not release a pitcher with the stuff that Lidge has. Maybe, do like last year and change his roll. His problem is with tipping pitches and control- things that a pitching coach should be able to fix. He cannot be sent down without clearing waivers. If he was released or placed on waivers, at least 20 of the 30 teams would be interested. Yes, he had a bad year and it cost the Astros but giving up on him now would be a mistake.
  14. He has the stuff. They can't give up on him. I think, he was probably tipping his pitches again. A good pitching coach will fix that no problem. The Astros have not had a quaility pitching coach (or hitting) in a while.
  15. No matter what the weather and or season, I always have a spinnerbait tied on one of my rods. My old stand by is a stanley 3/8 white tandem (silver, gold).
  16. Loretta is a nice pick up. He will be a decent bat to give Everett days off. Now what to do with Bruntlett??
  17. Huff is a good utility guy but there is no way he would be worth 3yrs 20 mil to the Astros.
