What.A.Joke.
This used to be an honorable thing. Now it is everyone gets a trophy. This was a district of only 5 teams. Looking at safety's alone, their are 7 listed. I know some play with 2, but even at doubling 2 that gets you to 4 (2 on first and 2 on second). Why are the coaches doing this? How many coaches even know the other kids on the opposing team? Seems like if coaches got out of coaching they could easily find a job in sales (like the pitches made to get the kids on the list). I'm sure many of these kids are "great" kids, but that does NOT earn them a spot on the list.
KJ Dad, I commend you and your son on your honesty. Congratulations also to the Mustangs on their championship year (it is hard to compete against them on the field and for honors).

I found that to be odd as well. But to be accurate, he did have a foul called on him late. In fact he ended with 2 fouls but both came with only 2 minutes left in game.
I understand your point on how the difference was in the style and how the defenses were played in this game. But just going by video, I am certain HJ fouled more that 3 times in first half. But again, it would not have mattered one bit.
I'm sure HJ had a few more fouls that got by, but I am also just as sure that WOS could have been called for more as well. Like Nash said, different styles of play and basketball shape vs football shape plays a part.

I have watched Kountze a few times in the last couple of years, is Arnold the point guard?
Arnold did not play tonight.

Congrats to the Raiders. Don't be satisfied with just making it. Continue to make a statement. Proud of these boys!

BC will control the game with clock management. Their offense is designed to keep their opponents offense off the field and wear down their opponents defense. Watched the BC/Huffman game and like BC's chances over the Tigers.

Just passed the Alamodome and am looking forward to coming back this spring to watch some basketball.

Sending prayers.

The irony of a thread about HJ basketball created by a Silsbee guy turning in to nothing but Silsbee football is quite entertaining. May the good fortunes continue for Silsbee Football and their Defensive MVP.

No, those are accurate stats...
Yarbro was 5/6 on passing...Boyd passed at least twice as much.

How about them Raiders....I know, it must Be the refs. BC has to Like this too

Tell me again why there was any question at the QB position last year? Dontre is doing great for the Tigers and should have had the position all year last year. Maybe they wouldn't have struggled so much last year. Keep it going.

HJ switched back to the slot T in week 2. So, they've played the last two games with it.
Moreaux played against Jasper in week 1, when HJ was running read-option. I do not think he is eligible for this game. He transferred the week after week 1 and then back that same week. So at most I think this Friday will be around day 12 of his period to sit.
Tilley ran his guts out against Kountze and he will be a handful for the Bears. I wish we could not use Thompson at QB and let him be a back like he as last year. That would help Tilley out. Not sure who could play QB though.
If the Bears run the ball a lot, that helps HJ. Our pass defense has been suspect. At times the DBs seem to be in good position but aren't looking for the ball. If they can start getting their beds turned around I think we would be much improved.
In week 3 HJ certainly looked better than week 1 and week 2 but we still put the ball on the ground WAY too much. We may also want to forget extra points and go for two every time. I think the conversion rate would be about the same as the PAT but we'd get the benefit of one additional point!
while I agree with most of this, I do want to point out we have the same kicker as last year and he made several for us then. Not sure where the issue is, snapper, holder or kicker or lack of practice.

They do a great job of this. Very respectful.

Ok.
So HJ would've beaten Jasper...with this year's team...with Dubois at the helm? Kelly I would agree with you. coaching can overcome 1 point..even 1 possession. But Jasper? Wow.. some people just don't understand I guess.
Too many variables here. With DuBois, comes the 3 year starting QB and a great clock manager. Jasper would not have seen the ball as often. With that said, good luck to Coach and Camden as they take on the Raiders. The Raiders have the potential to score quickly, which might give the Cards some problems. Those Raiders have been battle tested through the years and are ready to prove they belong.

Guys, we are truly sorry. The board owner has been made aware of the problem and has been attempting several things to combat it. We just haven't found the magic pill yet.
The problem is that the onsite ads which are probably causing the problem are necessary as they pay for the site. Without them, there is no site to redirect from.
Thank you for taking the concerns seriously and not just making comments. It has seemed better on my iPhone 6 lately, but it is obviously still an issue for many. Most of us don't take our laptops to the games and we like to follow the scores/updates for games we are not attending.

What happened with Sterling?

John was definitely the best player out there. His play is typically quiet and does the little things like assists and defense, today his play was very LOUD on the offensive side. Reminded me of his play (not dunks) at the state tournament. Ozen came ready to play for sure.
