I agree 100%, but some coaches put more stock into playing lower division teams every year, to build confidence(pad wins) then playing equal or higher division teams that actual make a team stronger...

BH has some very nice wins on its resume this season!

14.2 is a legend in his own mind. He talks about Crosby like their Aledo or North Shore. Crosby Is a good team, but not on the level he thinks.

Don’t forget that he even talks to people that make 800k a year! They even allow him to bring them coffee every once in while. 

And before you get an attitude with me you should know this. You might be able to bench 400 pounds but I can type 34 wpm.

Lol, it's actually just the opposite. Information about player transfers has been taken off this site(I assume similar sites as well) and tried to be used punitively against transferring players during eligibility hearings. You're way too naive on the subject of THSF to understand any of that though. 
I don't claim to "know it all", I just happen to know exponentially more than you. However, numerous coaches from the SETXSports coverage area have DM'd me over the years to ask that I post stuff, ask that I remove stuff, tell me they love what I'm posting but can't like it, send me statistical corrections or just ask me a general high school football question. I was once even asked by a coach to write a letter of support to the TEA, which I obliged. I've had multiple parents DM me for recruiting advice and have been sent film to break down. I've even been asked if I would be interested in doing some freelance writing on THSF. 
Everything I've ever written about Crosby ISD hasn't been positive. I think the "powers that be" at Crosby understand that if I'm posting it then that's probably the majority of the sentiment. I've had at least one son in Crosby's football program since 2013 and can't even count the number of times their coaches have referred to me as "14.2", as do may fans who know me. The only things they've ever told me usually involve expletives of affirmation. For instance, they love reading the stuff I say to you.   
I'm a real THSF guy SS, you're just a guy who watches THSF football. Never forget that.

No one in BH is wishing Westerburg was still around. Abseck may not succeed as much as we all wish he should but its not from a lack of putting in the work.  He puts in the hours and demands the same from his staff. Parents and players cant ask anymore than that. Westerburg on the other hand was a rude self centered jerk who treated all the other coaches and sports like they were beneath him. No one misses that dude at all. He just got butthurt when his plan for Jr to take over at BH was thrown in the trash by the supt. 

Nothing I have seen from Sterling leads me to believe they should be considered the dark horse to make any playoffs unless we have expanded to 6 teams.
Their QB, who was pretty much a one man show, graduated. I don't see how they will be as good as they were last year even.

If you would've heard what Abseck said to CE King's coach about Crosby at the THSCA convention you would understand why their hype video looks like that. Common responses to the "What do y'all look like this year?" talk around the coffee pot in the morning from local teams' fans/parents.
GCM: "Man, it's going to be tough. I'm just glad my boy is out there."
Lee: "I mean, we're going to beat the other Baytown schools"
Sterling: Their fans don't even like discussing football at work
Anahuac: "I'm not sure but I think we were pretty decent last year. Have you seen our new subdivision though?"  
Dayton: "We really wanted Crosby this year, we think we can play with y'all. I think we'll be good though." 
Crosby: "We should be pretty decent. We're just hoping to stay healthy and make another run at state"
 BH: "I don't remember who we open with but we play Crosby the 4th game of the year" 
I'll see if I can find the video from the Vype photoshoot a couple of years ago when they asked the BH players about the upcoming season. Their response was akin to the hype video.

This was their last shot for a while, not saying they won’t be good but they will not be back here anytime soon.

United is very very fortunate to win this game. GCM should have won this one.

I didnt see any disrespect.  The atmosphere was amazing, it was standing room only and electric the entire game. I have never seen the field house like that and I hope it is a sign of things to come with BH joining the Baytown schools in District next year. Both communities showed up and with the band, cheerleaders and students....It was a awesome environment. 
What I did see was BH battle back from a 15-0 and 17-1 deficit to get with in 1 going into the 4th quarter. BH could not make a shot early and missed a ton of free throws.  BH had no business being in the game with the size advantage GCM had but credit to those kids. They played their butts off and could have easily won that game had the ball fell the right way. 
Two bizarre plays. One on a layup that would have tied the game, I dont know if GCM goal tended the ball but somehow the ball literally stopped and say on the rim for 3 seconds before it fell out. Huge bucket that didnt go down.
Last, down 3, BH gets fouled shooting a 3 with less than 3 seconds to play. Kid missed the first, makes the second, shoots the ball off the front of the rim and goes flying in to get the rebound. One ref I think called he left too early and one I think called a foul on GCM. After talking about it the refs did a do over! I have never seen that before in my life. The kid made that free throw to make the score 50-51. BH quickly fouled and GCM made one of 2. 
BH got the ball to just over mid court for a last second 3 but it was long. 
It was a heck of a game. 

I'm in favor of a shot clock for 4A and above.  It's not that expensive and it adds a dimension to the game that the kids and the parents and the fans would enjoy.  It could be very forgiving, 40 seconds.  A quarter is 480 seconds long.  That's 12 possessions per period and that's slow enough.  

Plus it would give officials who aren't physically able to run the court for some reason the opportunity to participate and make a little extra money.  The districts can afford it.  Basketball is a small fraction of the expense of football.  I think it's a win all around.
Though I'm not going to condemn what Mitchell did, I hope this episode becomes ammunition for the proponents of a shot clock for Texas.

I never seen a dude so obsessed with with BU is doing when he needs to be worried about what PAM will do in the post Sanders/Guilbeau era.  I have them finishing 5-5…. Possibly 4-6 if they can’t beat Lee. Even you’re not high on y’all coaching.  
 
what’s next?  Are your going to start tugging on West Brook’s jock strap again like last year?  That’s pretty much expected.

Just an outsider asking a question, Is the administration not capable of making a decision on their own? AFAIK, no one else in Texas hires outside help for $20K just to help them think and decide. 
I still believe this is $20K the PNG powers spent just to deflect and insulate themselves from responsibility incase a new coach does not pan out as expected. "Hey don't blame us, we just did what TD told us!"    

8-5A-D1 
1. Crosby - Crosby played 31 of a possible 32 games last realignment. Austin Westlake was the only 5A/6A school to play all ‘em all. The move up in class will be a challenge but Crosby is 13-1 the last two years in district play, at this point y’all just need to beat us. 
 
2. BH/PAM - BH has a lot of very good individual skill players returning. You see how far FB Marshall’s great skill players got against BH’s trench play though. BH lost some good trench guys and the best backfield they’ve had in 15 years. We’ll see how they restock. 
 
3. PAM/BH - PAM is the plant workers version of Humble when they were in 5A. Regional final talent with district runner-up coaching. How do you replace Sanders this year when you never showed an ability to develop a second act last year? 
 
4. Baytown Lee - Probably has the best coach nobody in the coverage area talks about because of where he is. I think the kids from back there off the state streets still get in the dance.
5. Kingwood Park - I really don’t know why I think KP will be better than they end up every year?
 
6. Porter - I think you’re getting into some bad teams here and Porter is just the best of the bunch. 
 
7. GCM - Looks good getting off the bus and if the new coach is any good they should be able to beat Sterling. 
 
8. Baytown Sterling - Somebody has to be second to last in a nine team district. 
 
9. La Porte - Hate is didn’t work out for Coach Tarr but the fishing at Sylvan Beach was probably going to be better than your football team and you ain’t catching **** out there. They should be in the running with Sterling and GCM for the “everybody gets to play game”.
